          I think Savage was kidding.

When I hit a slump, I never stop playing because it seems that's just when you got hot.

The key is to NOT press. Don't make extra wagers or chase but try to stay with a firm discipline and keep your wagers at the same amount. Don't ever try to "win back" what you've lost. Just think of every day as a new start. There are a lot of good selecters here (I think I'm pretty good myself, LOL). I would suggest going with someone who keeps track of their YTD records and does so honestly.

Dont really play much anymore.....only bet I made all weekend was the Tigers series and only bet I made last week was Boston and Under when Beckett pitched in Oakland and I split that and I followed Wayne and TP on a couple of selections

If I get invloved everyday I will usually do what Chuck is doing now and that is chasing losses rather than enjoy betting as a leisure thing like Wayne seems to do.

I just offered to help because I can look at a game from a different angle than you and thats the angle where my own money isnt on the game so I wouldnt let funny ideas get into my head before pulling the trigger which is what most do when they are losing.....they make attempts to justify both sides of a wager which is a losing proposition every time

Kinda like the 50/50/90 rule.....when its a 50 50 prop there is a 90% chance we pick the wrong one

            PEACE

2 things happen when you're on tilt..

                      (1) You become more and more amazed as your losing streak grows, same as you would feel if you went on an amazing winning streak. Every break seems to go against you and then when you finally think that the worm has turned, you lose a game like that Toronto game today. And just like a train wreck, you can't keep your eyes away as you feel like your bet changes the outcome of games.

                      (2) You continue to increase the size of plays, thinking that just like a martingale, your winning streak will hit and you'll be back in the game. But just because you lost a couple games in a row, doesn't guarantee that you're "due" to win, it just means you're on a losing streak, simple as that.

My advice would be to cut back your units considerably to allow you to see clearly that your losing streak was just a run of bad luck. You don't change the outcome of games and you aren't destined to lose money on baseball.

If you need to follow someone, then scout out someone who plays consistent units everyday and who keeps a record. Make sure that they post their plays well before gametime (otherwise you could miss a winning pick and then be tempted to double up on the next pick only to lose more). Good luck, you'll get out of the funk, but you have to change your current mindset.

MLB is tough. Wait a couple weeks and look for football!

Cash. If you are willing to do a little work I think this will help you from following someone at just the wrong time. During the first three weeks or July I won over 60 units. During the seven days from last weekend to last Friday, I lost all of my winnings. No matter how good someone is at picking winners, they will still have their losing streaks. Maybe not as often as others, but you don't want to start following someone just as a bad streak is starting.

What I suggest you do is go thru all of the threads here and look for guys who post their running record every day. Write them all down, with their records. Then find the three or four cappers here who have the best records. Each day, check their plays and any games where more than one of them has the same pick, that is the game you play. If you want to refine this even more, just consider the games they play for the most units. This way if someone is just starting a bad streak, you won't be playing only their plays. Also, follow the advice already posted here and above all DON'T INCREASE YOUR BETS until you are playing with your winnings, not your own money. Good luck, Cash. We have all been there and know what you are going thru. Whatever you decide to do, I hope it helps your bankroll.
