Simply put----all the afore mentioned 3rd base men are good----you have to be good to make the majors, you have to be above average (considered one of the best) to win a Gold Glove........
all players have bad days, we tend to remember the errors (costly ones) more so than the good plays that they make look routine..........
we come to expect them to make good/great plays all the time.......It's human nature to dwell on the negative side of a sports performance......
There is some credence in his playing not as good today, as he used to.........It happens to all athletes........
Is he still good, hell yeh, as good as he used to be, no.........the best 3rd basemen in baseball today---not likely.......but thats what makes sports arguementative........
HE IS A GOOD 3RD BASE MEN, or he wouldn't be in the Majors.....kapt
