I believe so, winds are from the South/South West 18-24 Wrigley Field Location: Left field (N), West Waveland Avenue; third base (W), Seminary Avenue; home plate (SW), North Clark Street; first base (S), 1060 West Addison Street; right field (E), North Sheffield Avenue. A ball hit to left field should get some help today

I can't pull the triger on this one
I think the odds makers knew what the winds were doing.

            Wrigley

I automatically take the over in Wrigley when a total comes out at 10 or higher and the under when a total comes out at 7 or under. The books know what the wind is doing--that's why you might see a total of 11 with Prior and Morris pitching, or a total of 7 with Estes and Tomko. The public often will blindly make the "obvious" play. . . if you notice, the books in those scenarios will have 7 with the over at -120 or higher, or 11 with the under at -120 or higher, which would indicate that money is unbalanced. A total between 8 and 10 is usually a toss-up.

A month or two ago the Cardinals were in Wrigley and there was a tremendous storm blowing through. . . the wind was blowing straight out to left with gusts exceeding 40 mph. The total was released an hour before gametime at 13!!! Both teams scored 18 runs by the top of the fifth when, regrettably, the game was called because of rain.
