Okkkkkkkk so I rarely post picks anymore on here and if I do it's on the ponies but that doesnt mean I don't check the lines and bet on some personal games everyday because I DO! I wan't to make a lot of money today and I'm sick of losing so I really looked into the games tonight and here's the game of the year for tonight:
HOUSTON ASTROS (CLEMENS) over CINCINATTI REDS (HARANG)
OK I admit it, Harang and the Red's scare me especially because the Astros SUCK as of late. Let's just put this in perspective... Harang career against the Astros is 4-5 with almost a 4.56 ERA. Clemens agains the Red's in his career is 4-1 vs the Red's with a 2.48 ERA. I was at the Astro's game at Shea Stadium on Sunday. They came from behind and pounded the Met's and this is the start of there turn around. It's gotta start right now. 47-52 is not going to cut it and def not going to get them into the playoffs. I like them winning here and starting a winning streak. Berkman WILL be in the lineup which is good news because I saw him go down on Sunday. The team looked really good and didn't make any errors and started hitting the ball w/o Ensberg. Rich Aurilla in his career against Clemens is batting a .156. Other bad hitters against Clemens are... Scott Hatteberg (.118,) Javier Valentin (.125,) Dewayne Wise (0-5,) Aaron Harang himself (0-5,) Juan Castro (0-3) Griffey has decent career numbers but that's because they are both old farts and have faced each other an ungodly amount of times haha.
As far as the Astros hitters against Harang... many do very well...
1.) Craig Biggio- .334 AVG
2.) Adam Everett- .316 AVG
3.) Willy Taveras- .333 AVG
4.) Preston Wilson- .375 AVG
5.) Jason Lane- .333 AVG
6.) Chris Burke- .333 AVG
and Lance Berkman has 5 career homeruns off Harang!
This hasn't worked much of the season by saying they are at home because they just all around have been pretty bad this season. Im saying it tonight though, as an Astro's fan I know when we lose like we did the first two games against the met's and have all the odd's against us in game 3 and come out and FIGHT especially after giving up an absolute bomb in the first inning to Delgado and to win after that they are amped. I know my Astros and I don't normally bet with my heart but understand what im saying. This is their turnaround, they know it's now or never, and they are picking the now tonight. Clemens is solid he hasnt let up more than 2 earned runs since he's been back. He will supply the arm tonight, the bat's just need to come back 0ut. Let's do this. -136 HOUSTON!
