Tiki Barber is the most underrated player in the NFL IMO......I think he is deserves the number 4 spot.

I pick first in 1 of my drafts and all year Ive thought Johnson was my pick.....now im about 80% sure.

Roaf gone, new coach, new coordinater.....kinda scary and I dont want this blowing up in my face like when I picked Ricky Williams in the first round 3 years ago.

I also believe in the SuperBowl Loser jinx and thats why I already have talked myself out of Alexander. I just think Seattle is in for a long year.

My only other logical choice is LT and like TP said I dont think Rivers will hurt LTs numbers......I think Rivers after watching for 2 years is ready hence Gates and LT will have their normal stellar years.

If I had to draft now and I would take LJ with the first pick.....WR & WR at 24/25.....then pray Gates makes it back to me at 48/49 when I will pick another RB also....(if Gates is gone ill prolly pick best available)

    PEACE

It sounds like a good plan pimp. The only thing i would do differently is pick up 2 RB's with those 1st 3 picks along with 1 WR. I think solid RB's are much tougher to find than WR's are. Injuries are more likely at the RB position too and i would want 2 SOLID backs to start the season. There are 2-3 WR's on every team worth a look.

I used to love that idea Wayne....sometimes I would try for 3 Rbs in 3 picks but I could never pick WR late and I kept gettin pissed off since I always ended up with good RBs late anyways ( I always get lucky with late rd RBs) so I switched to the WR theory and Ive been pickin the likes of Owens, Moss, Harrison and such with my first 2 picks and I build from there.......but now with #1 I thought its a no brainer with LJ for 2000 and 20 but people keep planting these negative thoughts in my head.

I dont draft until Sept 3 and 4 so I have time to decide but most likely im gonna go RB WR WR and hope I can get lucky with a RB later (LJ put up stats worthy of 2 runners anyways)

I think you HAVE TO go with LJ.

The guy is incredible and with K.C. trying to build a defense, he might see the ball even more. My second choice would be LT. I'm a little more nervous about him though. I don't know why but i have a funny feeling about LT and injuries this year, + Nobody REALLY knows what Rivers will do.

I must say I'm a bit surprised by some of these posts! I don't mean that in a hateful way but...Reggie Bush? Ok, I don't know if this is cool or not....I haven't been here in awhile but I'm gonna put a plus in for a site I am a senior stff writer on and also write a daily blog...it's www.fantasyfootballhelpers.com. You can check it out for free and brouse and yes, it's a pay site if you wish to join. I honestly am not trying to just make a buck with this post but it's worth the 20 bucks if you really want a cool site with great fantasy info....ok, let the bombs start flyin'....lol

It's fair to say Alexander, but he is nowhere near the receiver LT is.

I agree with most of what you are saying about Rivers (I graduated high school with him and he's a really sharp guy), but I see Gates being used as their "top" receiver with Rivers' "shot-put" style of throwing, and LT not getting as many receiving touches as might be thought. That being said, LT's productivity will be huge, especially in the first several weeks of the season while Philip gets his "feet wet," but I still gotta go with Shaun if I've got the 1st pick. LT is a phemoninal pick-up, but I think Shaun nearly duplicates last season.

I had a draft Wednesday night in ez winners league. There were 14 teams and i picked 9th. My 1st three picks were RB'S ... 1. Ronnie Brown 2. Julius Jones 3. Reggie Bush

LJ went 1st in our league. I think the premier WR's get shut down here and there but the TOP RB's always grind out their points every week. I also wanted to be set at that position to have a solid guy to cover bye weeks or an injury!

Good point about the defense, but I think you're banking on much more of an unknown commodity with LJ - he's really only been a starting running back for 9 games, and the long grind of an NFL season could affect him more than the others, which would obviously be a disaster at playoff time.
                  Records:

                  NCAA Hoops (38-34-2, +4.59*)
                  NFL Sides (34-25, +12.15*)
                  NFL Totals (18-14-1, +8.23*)
                  NCAA Foots Plays (65-48-4, +21.47*)
                  NBA Plays (4-1-0, +5.92*)

Maybe but even when he came in 2 years ago to cover for Priest, he ran wild. I think K.C. has a shot at BIG things this year and anyone who passes on the unbelieveable numbers Johnson has put up in every game ... Is CRAZY!

I'm not an Alexander fan because he just doesn't get the receiving touches i look for!

                      Peyton

Johnson worries me because of the coaching changes in KC with the retirement of Willie Roaf. Tomlison is in trouble this season with a 'rookie' QB.

Johnson is 6-1 230. He had 336 carries last season. I don't see fatigue as a factor.

Agreed. I can't see taking anyone over Peyton.
