  • Will AL Wild Card Come From Central Division?

A Few weeks ago just about everyone said wildcard this year would come from the Central;I actually questioned that in one of threads simply because so many people said it.
A look at standings currently would indicate it is not so certain now.
White Sox are 58-36, floundering and Yankees are 55-38. and not far back at all considering how many games to play.
For that matter with a few twists and turn,s Toronto could sneak up into wildcard and both White Sox and Red Sox or Yankees could miss.
It just goes to show what a difference a few weeks make.
I myself am surprised that White Sox have fallen so far back, as I felt they were the team to beat.

          EVERYONE SLUMPS..............EVERYONE

I know when the Tigers slump and drop 10 of 15 people will come on and say the wheels have fallen off.

Truth be told everyone will slump at some point.....BOSTON, DETROIT, METS, YANKS, CARDS.

White Sox will most prolly be there in the end......Tigers will be there, Yanks & Red Sox and maybe the Jays or Twins. Obviously there is only enough room for 3 of these teams so 3 will be left out. Key is to keep winning....White Sox had a cushion and in a matter of a week they lost it all going 1-5 v Yanks and Tigers. I guess they are showing their true colors JK

          PEACE

My only point was to show that is that was once considered a given is no longer so especially with so many games to play.

I think Boston and the Yankees will both make the playoffs.

I feel that Boston or Toronto will win the East, Detroit will win the Central, Angels will win the West and the wildcard will be either the White Sox or the Twins..... imo

Yanks are 2.5 behind the CWS for the wildcard. Twins are 4 games out of the wildcard. A game and a half.....your right TMAC. That is way to big of a mountain to climb.

Not to repeat, but in view of recent swoon of White Sox, it is far from a lock that the runner up in wildcard in that division gets the wildcard.
I will actually make a prediction that wildcard is going to come from the East(as usual).
If I am wrong, I will humbly call myself an idiot when season ends.
Prediction is based not only my perception but because the "crowd", is on the Central Division to have the wildcard, and we all know what that means.
