  • My Last Bet Over The Internet- Bodog under seige

Bodog surrounded by Police- US may be putting more on their neighbors to stop the flow of cash going out of US. Mydecision to quit using the internet is one of timeliness and not wanting to leave large amounts of money in an account that could be frozen or taken.

Yesterday morning, the news of Calvin Ayre, the lad from Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, who is today Canada's newest billionaire and cover boy at Forbes, the U.S.- based magazine that keeps the world's scorecard on the rich, made the print and online press in Costa Rica and around the world.

The stories told of how the 44-year-old Ayre moved into one of the globe's most exclusive clubs as founder of Bodog.com, the online gambling behemoth he operates out of Costa Rica because what he's doing has never been licensed by a government in Canada.

However, the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ), the Ministerio Público and the Policía Migratoria (immigration police) did not see it quite that way, and decided to raid the home of Ayre, basing their actions on his infraction with Ley de Juegos - the Costa Rican Gambling Law.

The order came from the Juzgado de Pavas, Fiscalía de Trámite Rápido the fraud section of the OIJ.

The raid began at 6:30pm and lasted from almost four hours in the swank residential Villa del Sol in Pozos de Santa Ana.

Ayre said that he ran his gaming business from his luxurious home and authorities went in to see if he had the necessary permits to run his business from that location. Authorities also found that Ayre's bodyguards carried firearms and are looking into if they have permits for doing so.

So my last bet on the internet isIn honor of Homer-The Following)

Detroit Tigers (-128) over Chicago White Sox 5 units

Actually saw this play and love it. Javier Vazquez has not performed well on the road, compiling a 4.89 ERA while yielding 56 hits in 49 innings. Over his last three starts, Vazquez has been rocked, giving up 19 runs and 26 hits over 17 innings (8.83 ERA). Meanwhile, Chicago's bullpen has been hit hard over it's last seven games, yielding 16 runs and 29 hits over 28 innings (5.02 ERA). On the road, Chicago's bullpen has compiled a poor 4.73 ERA and 1.395 WHIP.

As for Bonderman, he has been solid all season. He is 2-0 with a 3.26 ERA over his last three starts and averages nearly 7 innings per start. Detroit's bullpen is solid as well, compiling a 3.56 ERA at home with a 1.273 WHIP. Bonderman, combined with an outstanding bullpen (2.83 ERA over its last 10 games), will deliver a huge win for Detroit tonight in what I consider to be a statement game.

This season, Detroit is 47-16 as a home favorite and 29-6 as a favorite of -125 to -175. Also, Detroit is 41-15 at night and 14-7 after scoring 2 runs or less. More bad news for Vazquez: Detroit pounds right-handed pitching, batting .285 and scoring 5.6 runs/game against righties.

    Some trends to consider:

Tigers are 6-1 in their last 7 after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game.
Tigers are 10-2 in their last 12 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game.
Tigers are 13-3 in their last 16 when their opponent allows 2 runs or less in their previous game.
Tigers are 7-2 in their last 9 games following a loss.
Tigers are 42-12 in their last 54 games as a favorite.
Tigers are 20-6 in their last 26 during game 2 of a series.
Tigers are 3-0 in Bonderman's last 3 starts vs. American League Central.
Tigers are 4-1 in Bonderman's last 5 starts.
Tigers are 4-1 in Bonderman's last 5 starts as a favorite.
    ----------------------------------------------------
White Sox are 1-4 in their last 5 games as an underdog.
White Sox are 1-4 in their last 5 road games.
    ----------------------------------------------------

On the negative side-CHI WHITE SOX are 17-2 (+19.1 Units) against the money line in road games vs. AL teams allowing 4.7 or less runs/game in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons.
The average score was CHI WHITE SOX 4.4, OPPONENT 2.2 - (Rating = 6*)

But these add up more than that.
DETROIT is 47-16 (+23.7 Units) against the money line as a favorite of -110 or higher this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.9, OPPONENT 4.0 - (Rating = 2*)
DETROIT is 29-6 (+20.5 Units) against the money line as a favorite of -125 to -175 this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 6.0, OPPONENT 3.1 - (Rating = 4*)
DETROIT is 63-31 (+27.2 Units) against the money line in all games this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.2, OPPONENT 3.8 - (Rating = 2*)
DETROIT is 51-27 (+17.9 Units) against the money line when the total is 8.5 to 10 this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.1, OPPONENT 3.8 - (Rating = 1*)
DETROIT is 38-12 (+22.4 Units) against the money line when the total is 9 to 9.5 this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.7, OPPONENT 3.7 - (Rating = 3*)
DETROIT is 60-28 (+27.3 Units) against the money line in games played on a grass field this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.1, OPPONENT 3.7 - (Rating = 2*)
DETROIT is 41-15 (+23.7 Units) against the money line in night games this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.3, OPPONENT 3.6 - (Rating = 3*)
DETROIT is 42-24 (+14.8 Units) against the money line against right-handed starters this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.6, OPPONENT 4.0 - (Rating = 1*)
DETROIT is 37-20 (+13.0 Units) against the money line after 1 or more consecutive unders this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 5.5, OPPONENT 4.1 - (Rating = 0*)

Bodog has been raided before- I am not easily taken out- I just prefer to take out any substantial amounts while this witch hunt is on. I follow the chat in Costa Rica and it is their talk about job security and such that I listen to. My bank has contacted me twice on large amounts and payouts and one just recently. They want to know what is private to me - and I threaten to leave- if they don't back off. It seems like money laundering is on their mind. Its a federal Credit Union.
This is a decision on my part and I mean not to scare away anyone from their intended sources. I sense a play by our government to widen their efforts in banning internet gambling. I don't care to be caught up in it as I am a physician and don't need the backlash. My hand was in the cookie jar long enuff. I love doing this and have other sources to gamble with but not as readily available as the net. Good Luck to all. This the 3rd and last book I will gain payments to my bank account from. Good Luck all!! I will still post - just not do business the same way. Not paranoid- just being smart concerning my status.

Be smart- Sportbooks are not banks and are not obligated to pay you a cent especially if they are under attack. They will have you wait until their book clears the red tape. Think of the banks in 1929. Thats the best example I can give ya.
Feel free to leave some in for play but puh-leese- take out that which would hurt you if the book falls on hard times. Pinny is strong but they are targeted as well.

The jihad against online gambling spilling out from Congress these last few months portends a showdown between the U.S. and the U.K. What’s interesting is that this time, the U.K. is unlikely to back down. Britain has embraced Internet gambling and gets a substantial amount of tax revenue from the $12 billion U.S. consumers spend gambling online each year, much of it with U.K.-incorporated gaming sites. You have to think U.K. officials would have an interest in maintaining those revenues, not to mention in protecting their citizens, and in the integrity of the tech sector of their markets, which took a spill after Carruthers’ arrest.

Might the U.S. try to enforce its gambling ban by extraditing gambling executives in other countries? Would those countries comply? What are the implications of either scenario?

If Congress succeeds in pushing through its farcical, ill-considered ban on online gambling, these are just a few of the issues that’ll inevitably pop up down the road. I’ve written before about some possible free trade entanglements the bill presents. But here’s another: One way U.S. consumers may get around the bill’s deputizing U.S. banks to enforce the gambling ban would be to simply open accounts in banks based overseas.

Will Congress then attempt to ban wire transfers between U.S. banks and overseas banks that allow transactions with gaming sites? I wouldn’t put it past them.

The heartening side of all of this is that it shows how technology, trade, and commerce can work together to circumvent heavy-handed government meddling. The distressing part is just how far some in the U.S. government will go to impose their values on American citizens.

I guess nobody ever said moral crusading was easy

Tell me those old school freemasons aren't behind all this. These guys have been running the country for 300+ years, and Bush is probably one of them, as well as Bush Sr. These guys were in skull & crossbones at Yale, which is a stepping stone to these behind the scenes power mongers
