  • TP's Wednesday, 19th of July

Shaping up to be another nice day, especially if the A's/O's can get over 10.5 runs.
    • Well, I said I wasn't going to quit playing the Braves until it was proven they were going to cool off a little - and 14 runs on 18 hits isn't exactly the description of cooling off. I am relegating them to a small personal play here at +230, because I am not that familiar with Shiell.
    • Mariners @ Yankees Under 9.5 (-106) - small personal play. The Mariners are the worst team in the league against LHP, and both of these pitchers are pitching very well.

    Baseball Plays (54-53, +5.93*)

    A's -120 (Zito/Benson)
Both of these teams hit righties much better than lefties, and I'll take my chances with Zito at the short number, considering the A's have been money in Camden Yards in the past - they had won 8 of 9 in Baltimore before losing in the opener of this series.
A's offense has scored 2.4 more rpg last 5, and Zito's road ERA is 1.3 runs better than Benson's. He is 6-2 on the road, and his ERA last 5 starts is half that of Benson's (2.71-5.40).

    Good luck guys.

I'm not going to go into someone else's thread and say this, but I don't think it's a great idea to take the very popular Boston/NYY parlay today, since they pay only slghtly better than even money. Neither team is scoring very much, and they face two very hot pitchers. The Royals have won Redman's last 8 starts, and Meche hasn't lost in over a month. Beckett and Johnson are both wildly inconsistent.
