MLB Extra Innings Package

Have any of you guys who have the package noticed that they very rarely televise Phillies games? I think I've seen maybe 2-3 Phillies games on there the last 2 weeks. And tonight I think they are showing every single game except for Phillies-Padres.

Is there a reason for this that I should know about?

I live in the pocono's that's over a 100 miles from phila. and they block us out.

Actually the whole package has gone bonkers since the All Star game. Before every Red Sox game we used to get the pregame show and would get the postgame show afterwards now DirectTV is blacking out those shows.

I know Red Sox games are blocked out where I live because they are broadcast on NESN. I live about 90 miles from Boston.

i live in Northern Va. The Orioles games and Nationals game are always listed but are blacked out. The Phillies games aren't even listed. It's really weird.

phillies games arent broadcast because it has something to do with the tv contract down there. i think comcast of Philly. they refuse to agree to terms with mlb on airing the games out of market. the few phillies games that you get out of market are always shown from the other teams affiliate. ie if philly is playing mets you get the game on SNY which would be mets channel. i dont know all the details but i know this is true. phillies are associated with mlb extra innings.

i have r. howard on my fantasy team and i also have that wife beater b.myers on my team as well. anyhow, local sports talk show here once in awhile they have a rep from time warner cable on pimping the sports packages, last time he was on i called in and asked him basically the same question, that is what he told me. phillies are affaliated with mlb extra innings, so games arent on. only when they play certain teams will they air games on opponents feed. GL with howard he is a monster
