Vladimir Guerrero collected his 1,000th career RBI Saturday against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, becoming the seventh-fastest active player to do so. On Sunday he went 2-for-3 with a run scored against Tampa in a 7-5 win.


Manny Ramirez accomplished the RBI feat in 1,194 games. Frank Thomas is second (1,289) followed by
Mike Piazza (1,292), Alex Rodriguez (1,301),
Carlos Delgado (1,360), Ken Griffey Jr. (1,363) and
Guerrero (1,389).
