Did poor Barry stub his toe again? Nice job. Play when you feel like it and take Sundays off.

He may not be a spring chicken, but is it so hard to try to hit a ball 4 or 5 different times in an afternoon or to stand in field waiting for a handful of balls to be hit at you?
Come on-he like many players is pampered beyond belief.
If he were going to try to run a marathon two days in a row, I could see a day off, but to ask a highly paid player to perform on a daily basis(especially if he is in shape-which he is) is not asking a lot.
Back in days when I grew up, pitchers pitched 9 innings unless they were knocked out of the box and there was none of this setup and closer shit;but thats another story.
At my ripe old age of 58 I run 3 miles a day, which takes up more energy in a half hour than standing around most of the time like a pro baseball player does in a 2 hr and 45 minute game.

          Nut,

That's an even better Avatar than the last one!

          Savage,

Yeah starters also pitched on 3 days rest compared to 5 days these days. I don't see the problem with Bonds sitting out this game though as they have kicked the Cards rear ends the first 3 games.

BC-Even more reason I say to keep him in and go for the jugular.
To change the subject, how are you feeling?
I had my appendix removed in 1975;it took them a week to find out what was wrong with me.
I had severe cramps afterward for a few days but recovered and felt a lot better in the long run.
Sure hope you have a speedy recovery.

                Savage,

I'm feeling better, but I go from hot one minute to cold the next minute which I guess is from having 4 holes in me. They didn't have to do the surgery the old way because the appendix wasn't preforated (no holes in it).

So they did it with a laprascope (Spelling) which is a camera and took it out through my bellybutton.

They gave me some pain medication but its some weak crap. However I have a pretty high tolerance to pain so its more of when will this crap be gone thing.

                Thanks for asking
