Spear, I really like having these numbers available, but sometimes they're misleading. I think this is one:
Despite their 19-7 record against lefites, the Tigers are the fifth worst team in MLB against LHP. As evidenced by this:

most of those wins were of the 3-1 variety. They actually score 1.7 more rpg against righties.
That record is going to even itself out if they continue to struggle to score in those games.

In terms of runs per game:
The top 5 teams against lefties - Dodgers, Reds, Yankees, Blue Jays, Mets
The bottom 5 teams against lefties - Mariners, A's, Cubs, Orioles, Tigers
    Records:

    NCAA Hoops (38-34-2, +4.59*)
    NFL Sides (34-25, +12.15*)
    NFL Totals (18-14-1, +8.23*)
    NCAA Foots Plays (65-48-4, +21.47*)
    NBA Plays (4-1-0, +5.92*)

Interesting spearit. What really caught my eye was Cleveland, who is 7 games under .500, were a big 150 -200 favorite 33 times out of 88 games. I'm not questioning your figures but it is hard to believe Cleveland, with a losing record, was such a big favorite almost 40% of the time.

I don't mind -these figures are up for scrutiny- I will check further on Cleveland and Detroit for further clarification- Thanx for calling attention to it because as my signature indicates--
