From a fan's perspective, I love the Braves' offense right now - for one thing, Chipper is hitting .540 this month, and that makes everyone else improve. They rocked Chris Young, who had been very good, and they are clicking on all cylinders right now. Bullpen has also been the best in the league the last month or so. I love our chances right now, and I'm dead serious about that.

Well, I kissed my sister yesterday, winning with the favorite, and losing with the dog. Both games could have gone either way, so that's a fair result.
Los Angeles Dodgers +146 (Hendrickson/Suppan)
Unless this is some Suppan besides Jeff, this line makes no sense. How bad has this guy been? I received a phone call from a Cardinals fan after they waived Ponson - he was almost in tears saying they should have gotten rid of Suppan instead. Let's look at the numbers.
5.86 ERA, 1.62 WHIP - horrible, but last 5 starts his ERA is 8.21, and his WHIP is over 2.00. He has been better in this ballpark, but he was rocked in his last home start by the hapless Royals.
Hendrickson, on the other hand, brings in an ERA under 4, a WHIP of 1.33, and his road numbers are among the best in the league. His road WHIP is 1.2, and his road ERA is 2.17. He also averages an inning more per start than Suppan.
How bad have the Cardinals been against lefties? They are 21-6 at home against RHSP. Against LHSP at home, they are 6-11. Hell, we have the better lineup and better starter. You can't ask for a better price in that situation.
Good luck to everyone. I plan on adding a late game.
