I understand why he beat Hafner and Liriano. He plays in a large market for the reigning world champs... but it pisses me off.
Hafner: 2d in AL in slugging percentage; 3d in RBIs; 11th in avg. 4th in HR. only player in major league history to hit 5 grand slams before the all-star break.

Pierzynski: not even on the list of leaders in slugging; 85th in HR; 89th in RBIs.
