    Six-Pack for Monday
-- American League won interleague play by 154-98, yet if they don't win the stupid, irrelevant All-Star Game, the NL champ will have home field in World Series. Brilliant.
-- 369 runs in 31 games Saturday-Sunday, average of 11.9, as pitchers taking this holiday thing seriously.
-- Twins, Red Sox both went 18-2 in interleague play, tying record set by the '02 A's.
-- Minnesota is 19-2 in its last 21 games, and has gained 1.5 games on first-place Detroit.
-- Carlos Delgado's 131 RBI in interleague games are most by any major leaguer in AL-NL action.
-- Two amazing catches this week; Coco Crisp's lead saver Thursday against the Mets; then Matthews' amazing grab Saturday, leaping over wall to rob Lamb of a tater. Because Crisp's catch saved the game, I would rate it better, but the better catch, in itself, was Matthews'. It just wasn't in a big spot like Crisp's or Aaron Rowand's earlier this season.

Monday's List of 13: Wrapping up the sports weekend......
      13) Jon Miller and Joe Morgan got bored quickly with game in Bronx Sunday night; Miller repeatedly said Jason Giambi is the AL home run leader, which is only true if White Sox have defected to National League (Jim Thome is AL leader).

      12) Left side of Met infield: 26 HR, 105 RBI, .306 BA
Left side of Bronx infield: 24 HR, 111 RBI, .313 BA.
Mets' two guys earn combined $775,000 this year. The Bronx guys earn a combined $42.3 million, thats million, with an M.

      11) All-Star stupidity: Nomar Garciaparra isn't an All-Star? Is Chris Young not having a better season than Brian Fuentes, a freakin' lefty reliever for Colorado? Liriano isn't an All-Star? Travis Hafner will probably get Rios' spot.

      10) Jeff Weaver gets designated, Jered Weaver comes back to Anaheim. Score one for common sense.

      9) Manu Ginobili was once the 57th pick in the NBA Draft.

      8) JJ Redick admitted on NBATV, after the draft, that he had taken sleeping pills the night before the draft. This kid seems little bit tightly wound, no?

      7) Minnesota has 13 wins in a row at Metrodome.

      6) If playoffs started Monday morning, the four AL playoff teams would be: Boston-Detroit-Chicago-Oakland. Pale Hose have six-game lead in Wild Card race over Bronx.

      5) National League playoff teams would be: New York-Cards- San Diego-Cincinnati. Reds have 1.5-game lead in Wild Card race over Colorado Rockies.

      4) Mets finished 6-9 vs American League. Hold off on those championship rings, until they improve their pitching.

      3) Personally, I'd prefer the guys on my fantasy team get the three days off, instead of going to the All-Star Game.

      2) Carlos Beltran hit two homers Sunday, both with his team down 9+ runs. You'd like to see some kind of analysis of this, when guys hit clutch homers and when they hit ones like that At least his Fantasy League owners will love him.

      1) Let me see, Soler was awful Sunday, Pedro Martinez is hurt The price for Willis, Zito and Livan Hernandez just went up.
