I lost my big 10 unit play on the WhiteSox but still had a great day. I won all four of my other plays, including Houston which was such a big dog that it paid only a half unit less than the 10 units I lost on my big play. I ended the day going 4-1 for a gain of 14.25 units.
Houston was one of those huge value plays that come up every so often. On Saturday someone posted Kansas City as having huge value because of the pitching matchup and they were right. Tonight Texas was a -204 favorite over Houston. This is a Texas team that had scored only 8 runs in their last 6 games.....AND THEY WERE A -204 FAVORITE. Would you lay -204 on any team that is in a six game hitting slump, averaging only a run and a quarter per game. But getting +189 to go against them is what I call a huge value play. Look around. These plays come up more often than you would think. I only have three plays for Monday.
