  • Spears Wed MLB Play

Greetings- Anyone have any faith in me after I blew the Under 2 nights ago. I am taking Baseball one day at a time and have hit my last 2 after losing on the Under.
Nice--I doubled up on the Braves- 5-2 Now-- I noticed it is tough to follow especially when One has a big loss and when One is playing the hapless Braves. It worked out.
    It gets trickier-
Today, I repeat the loss from the day before on the Under. These plays are not for everybody- They are based on system percentages and a feeling about the pitching and play of both teams tonight.

    10* Detroit/Houston Under 9

I realize that Petite isn't pitching well but his old buddy Clem is beside him today and he knows Detroit from last night.
I am banking that the comradeship will speak volumes on a low run scoring game and---- goes no more than 7 runs tonight.
Verlander is pitching quite decent lately -so a pitching duel we are in for and Detroits bullpen has been outstanding..

DETROIT is 18-4 UNDER (+13.6 Units) against left-handed starters this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 4.1, OPPONENT 3.1 - (Rating = 3*)

DETROIT is 10-2 UNDER (+7.7 Units) when playing on Wednesday this season.
    The average score was DETROIT 4.3, OPPONENT 3.4 - (Rating = 1*)

HOUSTON is 11-2 UNDER (+8.9 Units) in road games after having lost 6 or 7 of their last 8 games over the last 2 seasons.
    The average score was HOUSTON 3.6, OPPONENT 3.6 - (Rating = 1*)

          Taking Baltimore ML - 119

Bedard, who struck out 12 in his last start here Wednesday, has gone 5-1 with a 3.50 ERA in nine starts at Camden Yards this season. He is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in two lifetime starts vs. Philadelphia.

The Phillies counter with 22-year-old lefthander Cole Hamels (1-3, 4.41), who has posted a 6.32 ERA in losing his last three starts. In his most recent start Wednesday, Hamels allowed just two runs and six hits in seven innings but was saddled with a 5-0 loss to the New York Yankees.

Philadelphia has dropped six of its last seven road games since sweeping a three-game series at Arizona from June 5-7. Phillies left fielder Pat Burrell has gone hitless in his last 15 at-bats, dropping his road batting average to .211 (24-for-114).
