  • World Cup Day 19 (Game of the Cup)

I went 2-0-0 on Monday and improved to 4-0-2 in the knockout games. I have what I am calling my "Game of the Cup" on Tuesday. I don't really like using buzz terms like that but I feel fairly certain that this will be the biggest wager I place during the Cup. Of course, that does not ensure that it will win so bet accordingly. On to my plays....

World Cup Record: 26-18-10 (+11.18 units)

    6/27

    Game 55: Brazil -1.5 (-106) vs. Ghana 2**

Brazil was my pick to win this whole tournament at the beginning, and I see no reason to think they won't beat Ghana by 2-3 goals in this one. It sounds like Brazil's star sub Robinho will bet out of this match, but they have more than enough offensive firepower to make up for it.

Game 56: Spain TO ADVANCE (-145) vs. France 5*****

I have been thoroughly impressed by Spain thus far. They have shown the kindof ability that could lead to their first ever World Cup title. They even beat Ukraine, a quarterfinal team, 4-0 in their first match. France is old and slow and will not be able to keep up with the Spaniards in this one. I am calling this my "Game of the Cup" because I do not anticipate betting more than 5 units on any one match. My largest bet so far has been 3 units.

Good luck and enjoy the Cup!

I'm with you on Spain...I think they are the darkhorse still of the Cup, unfortunately they'll have to play Brazil next round if all follows thru.

                            Brazil wins 3-0.

Now 5-0-2 in the knockout phase. The big play on Spain is next.

                            Good luck.
