Marlins jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st, and were threatening for more, but the rain started pouring, and the game was postponed. No big deal - a 5-run lead against the Yankees is hardly insurmountable.
On a positive note, I was looking at taking Mexico +1.5 and Germany, Kaptain came with them, so I played them for a little (not enough to watch the first 80 minutes of either, but still enough to be happy about winning).
Baseball Plays of the Day (37-38, +2.25*)
I'm playing two of the worst teams in baseball - but that's always been my style. I would really like to explain these plays a little more, but I was out of town, and I'm going home tonight (I love driving at night), so that won't be possible.
Cubs +143 (Marshall/Radke)
Twins are playing very well, but aren't scoring that many runs, and they have little to no pitching advantage here. Marshall at his best is better than Radke at his best. Cubs' only chance is against RHP, and they should get at least 8 innings of that here.
Royals +100 (Redman/Helling)
Royals are a .500 team against RHSP at home, and they score well over 5 rpg in those contests. Helling is absolutely terrible, and even if God intervenes and he pitches decent, he won't last more than 5 innings, so the Milwaukee long and middle relief will see some action - I can't emphasize enough how awful they are.
Redman actually has been pretty good (but Milwaukee hits LHP very well). This should actually be an over special - 8-6 or something. I never seem to have much luck with overs though.
Small personal play: Pirates +1.5 -115 - don't ask.
