Suns Announce NBA Summer League 2016 Roster
The Suns will begin workouts in Phoenix on Wednesday in preparation for NBA Summer League 2016 in Las Vegas, Nev., from July 8-18.
The 13-man roster is highlighted by 2015-16 NBA All-Rookie First Team selection Devin Booker, Suns forward/center Alan Williams and the team’s 2016 NBA Draft acquisitions Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss and Tyler Ulis. Suns Assistant Coach Nate Bjorkgren will serve as head coach of the summer league team.
The Suns tip off their summer league schedule against the Portland Trail Blazers on July 9 at 1 p.m. at Cox Pavilion and are also scheduled to face the Boston Celtics on July 10 (7:30 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center) and the Miami Heat on July 12 (3:30 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center). Following these three contests, the Suns will play at least two more games as part of a tournament-style schedule to determine the NBA Summer League 2016 Champion.
Prior to their departure to Las Vegas, the Suns will hold five practice sessions from July 6-8 on the Annexus Practice Court at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
