    • Armadillo: Tuesday's six-pack

      -- Utah 123, Lakers 75-- Not a professional-level effort by the visitors.

-- Morehead State 86, Nevada 83-- Best-of-3 CBI final continues Wed. in Reno.

-- Old Dominion 75, Tennessee Tech 59-- ODU was only up 32-30 at half.

-- UCSB 70, Northern Illinois 63-- Gauchos were down 15 in first half.

-- Oakland 90, Towson State 72-- Grizzlies were 31-39 on the charity stripe.

      -- East Tennessee State 88, Louisiana Tech 83-- Guyn had 34 pts, 10 reb, 6 ass't.

      **********

Armadillo: Tuesday's List of 13: Nobody asked me, but........

      13) Some concern for the Mets; Matt Harvey was scratched from today's start with some sort of non-baseball medical situation. This was supposed to be the tuneup for his Opening Night start in Kansas City. Hopefully it is not serious.

      12) Mets and Cubs are headed to Las Vegas for exhibition games Thursday/Friday at Cashman Field in downtown Vegas. Always enjoy going to minor league games there while I'm in Las Vegas- the Mets' AAA team plays there.

      11) Old friend Nick Swisher got released by Atlanta Monday; when a bad team cuts you, it could be the end of the line. Always liked Swisher when he played for the A's and even after; seems like a good-natured guy.

      10) Was watching Rangers-Dodgers last night; in my opinion, Orel Hershiser is the best TV analyst in baseball. Very smart, you learn stuff from him but he still keeps his sense of humor. Ron Darling is also very good and there are others: Mark Gubicza, Tom Grieve, Bob Brenly that to me stand out above the rest.

      9) Oklahoma basketball coach Lon Kruger was a really good baseball player; he was drafted by the Astros in 1970, the Cardinals in 1974 and played one year of minor league ball in the St Louis system, before he found his calling as a coach.

      8) My opinion on retired baseball players complaining about the current players showing off: Please be quiet. Just stop. Shut up. No one wants to hear guys from the past sound like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino-- "Get off my lawn!!!!"

      7) Georgia Tech is targeting Duke assistant Jeff Capel for its head coaching job, but if you're Capel's friend, don't you tell him to pass on this job? Being at Duke, he will get plenty more head coaching offers (he has been a head coach, at VCU, Oklahoma). Georgia Tech seems like a hard place to win, the way the ACC is set up now.

      6) Santa Ckara was brilliant in hiring Herb Sendek as its coach; they'll be happy.

UNLV fired alum Dave Rice on January 10, then stumbled thru 11 weeks of looking like incompetent administrators, before finally hiring Little Rock's Chris Beard. Fans will like Beard's fiery demeanor; looks like he can coach, but its going to take time to rebuild a roster that has been ravaged by attrition the last few months.

      5) Former UConn coach Jim Calhoun picked Oklahoma to win the national title while appearing on ESPNU Monday.

      4) NIT semifinals tonight: BYU-Valparaiso, George Washington-San Diego State.

      3) Next few weeks we'll hear a lot about kids transferring, coaches getting new jobs. Some of next winter's games will be won or lost this spring; teams have so little on their benches, if they lose a couple kids unexpectedly, and don't replace them with good players, they will wind up like Duke was this seasonl with only six players you trust. Teams like that don't last long in March.

      2) Green Bay Packers rarely sign veteran free agents away from other teams, but they signed TE Jared Cook Monday. I'll try to be nice here, but Cook got a lot of money in free agency from the Rams a few years back and did little to justify the expense. Now he has Aaron Rodgers throwing to him, which has to help a great deal, but iif he doesn't get open more than he did in St Louis, even that won't matter.

      1) Syracuse lost to St John's this season.........
St John's lost to College of the Incarnate Word.....
College of the Incarnate Word lost to Our Lady of the Lake.....
Our Lady of the Lake lost to Oklahoma Arts & Sciences......

What would the spread be if Syracuse played Oklahoma Arts & Sciences?

      • Inside the Paint

        March 29, 2016

Favorites opened up the week with a 5-0 straight up mark on Sunday and the ‘chalk’ covered four of those games. That trend continued Monday with favorites posting an 8-2 SU record but the underdogs saved face at the betting counter with a 5-5 record against the spread. The ‘under’ went 7-3 last night and is 11-5 the past two days.

Tuesday’s card offers up six games on tap, which includes a nationally televised double-header on TNT that unfortunately is lacking any punch but that’s what happens late in the season with players resting and meaningless games.

        Let’s handicap the card.

Brooklyn (21-52 SU, 37-35-1 ATS) at Orlando (30-43 SU, 40-32-1 ATS)

Speaking of meaningless, this matchup between the Magic (-6 ½) and Nets certainly fits that billing. After notching solid wins over Cleveland and Indiana last week, Brooklyn was humbled 110-99 last night in Miami as an 8 ½-point underdog. Orlando hasn’t played since Saturday when it snapped a six-game slide with a 111-89 win over Chicago as a seven-point home underdog. The Magic have gone 12-7 SU and 9-10 ATS as home favorites this season and that includes a 4-1 mark in their last five. Orlando has won all three (2-1 ATS) encounters against Brooklyn this season and the ‘under’ is 3-0 in those games. The Magic haven’t been healthy all season and the status of Nikola Vucevic and Victor Oladipo remains up in the air tonight. Make a note that Brooklyn is 2-10 SU and 6-6 ATS on zero days rest this season.

Charlotte (42-31 SU, 38-34-1 ATS) at Philadelphia (9-65 SU, 34-39-1 ATS)

The Hornets and 76ers wrap up their season series this week with a home-and-home set that starts tonight before the second meeting on Friday in Charlotte. The 76ers are double-digit underdogs (+11 ½) for this game and could be jetlagged after finishing up a four-game road trip that saw them go winless. The club did manage to go 3-1 ATS and the ‘under’ cashed in all four games. It’s hard to make a case for Philadelphia here based on a number of factoris, including talent, travel and form, plus Charlotte has been one of the hottest teams in the league since the All-Star break (15-5 SU, 12-8 ATS). The Hornets have beaten the 76ers by 20 and 25 already this season and I’d expect that number to be in this neighborhood on Tuesday. However, I might come back with Philly on Friday knowing Charlotte has key games versus the Cavs and Raptors on deck.

Chicago (36-37 SU, 30-43 ATS) at Indiana (39-34 SU, 37-36 ATS)

The Pacers opened as seven-point home favorites over the Bulls and I thought this line was a tad inflated. I know Chicago is in horrible form right now, four straight losses, but it still has the talent to win in this spot and I’m not exactly sold on Indiana. The Pacers are 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS in their last six games and two of those wins came against the 76ers and Pelicans. Indiana has dropped two of three to Chicago this season, both losses on the road and by a combined three points. In the home win, Indiana pulled away for a 104-92 victory and have won six of the last seven home encounters against Chicago. It’s hard to argue for the Bulls, who have dropped 11 of 12 on the road but backing Indiana as a home favorite (20-8 SU, 14-14 ATS) doesn’t jump off the page either. The ‘under’ (203) could be a good look knowing both clubs could shorten this game late since it has playoff implications and none of the first three outcomes between the pair this season eclipsed tonight’s number.

Oklahoma City (52-22 SU, 33-39-2 ATS) at Detroit (39-35 SU, 37-34-3 ATS)

I’m not a big fan of Oklahoma City and I’ve knocked them around for being a bully and they are. However, the Thunder made me take a second look at them last night when they hammered a good Toronto team 119-110 as three-point road favorites. OKC has won eight straight games and more importantly, they’ve covered six of them for bettors.

The club heads to Detroit on Tuesday and the Thunder are currently listed as a 2 ½-point road favorite. That number right there tells you that the Pistons are worth a look, especially when you know that OKC has gone 6-6 both SU and ATS on no rest this season. Detroit saw its five-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as it was humbled 112-95 at home to Atlanta. The Pistons are in the middle of a playoff hunt and if Stan Van Gundy’s team ever needed a big win, it starts tonight at the Palace. Detroit has gone 8-5 SU and 7-4-1 ATS at home this season versus foes from the West, which includes a win over Golden State to boot.

Houston (36-38 SU, 32-42 ATS) at Cleveland (52-21 SU, 32-39-2 ATS)

The Cavaliers are listed as 1 ½-point home favorites over the Rockets and the short price is due to LeBron James sitting out for Cleveland. As much heat as he takes, he’s only missed three games this season and the clubs is 1-2 but the lone victory came by one point. Cleveland dropped Houston 91-77 on Jan. 5 as a two-point road underdog, which snapped a six-game losing streak to the Rockets. With Toronto losing on Monday, the Cavaliers are now three games ahead of them for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Rockets are barely holding onto the eighth seed in the West and have struggled recently, losing four of five games. The offense has been inconsistent (100.8 PPG) during this skid, which has led to a 4-1 ‘under’ mark. Knowing the Cavs have averaged 94 PPG without James in the lineup, a lean to the low side (214) could be warranted tonight.

Washington (36-37 SU, 37-36 ATS) at Golden State (66-7 SU, 38-32-2 ATS)

The Wizards began their five-game West Coast trip Sunday with a wire-to-wire 101-88 victory over the Lakers. Winning on Tuesday certainly won’t be easy as Washington meets Golden State as a 13 ½-point road underdog. As most know, Golden State is gunning for historical records and they’ve already busted one earlier this season by winning 53 straight games at home. Washington is listed as an 8/1 underdog (Bet $100 to win $800) on the money-line and that’s not a sound investment, especially for a team that has gone 4-7 SU and 5-8 ATS versus non-conference foes on the road. All but two of those opponents racked 107 points or more and that weak defensive effort helped the ‘over’ go 9-2 in those games. Should we expect less from Golden State? The team total for the Warriors (119 ½) might be a better play considering the Warriors are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games despite a 4-1 record. Plus, they’ve averaged 112 PPG in 13 home games versus teams from the East this season.

Game of the Day: Wizards at Warriors
            ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Golden State Warriors need to go 7-2 over their final nine games to break Chicago’s record for most wins in an NBA regular season.

Washington Wizards at Golden State Warriors (-13, 226.5)

The Golden State Warriors are trying to pull off the balancing act of fine tuning for the postseason, keeping players fresh and going after the record for regular-season wins. The Warriors will try to push their NBA-record home winning streak to 54 straight and draw one win closer to the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ regular-season mark when they host the Washington Wizards on Tuesday.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr wants the team to clean up its turnovers and tighten up the defense in preparation for the playoffs, and allowing the NBA-worst Philadelphia 76ers to shoot 46.7 percent while committing 18 turnovers in a 117-105 win on Sunday was not a giant step in the right direction. Klay Thompson’s 40 points, Draymond Green’s triple-double and an offense that handed out 32 assists ensured the Warriors would avoid a letdown, but bigger challenges remain. The Wizards are desperate for wins as they cling to hope of catching the Detroit Pistons for the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference. Washington earned a 101-88 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday to draw within 2 1/2 games of the Pistons.

LINE HISTORY: The point spread opened with the Warriors as 13-point favorites and hasn't moved. The total debuted at 225.5 and was quickly bumped up to 226.5 by Monday afternoon.

            INJURY REPORT:

Wizards - SG B. Beal (Probable Tuesday, leg), SG A. Anderson (Questionable Tuesday, ankle), PF M. Morris (Questionable Tuesday, calf).

Warriors - SF B. Rush (Probable Tuesday, knee), SF K. Looney (Questionable Tuesday, hip), SF A. Iguodala (Out Tuesday, ankle).

ABOUT THE WIZARDS (36-37, 37-36 ATS, 37-34-2 O/U): Sunday’s performance marked a big step in the right direction for Washington, which held the Lakers to 37.9 percent shooting after allowing its previous two opponents to shoot better than 53 percent from the field in a pair of losses. The win marked the opener of a five-game road trip for the Wizards, who will see two more losing teams in Sacramento and Phoenix later in the trip. All-Star point guard John Wall is doing his part to keep the team in the race and recorded 22 points and 13 assists on Sunday for his ninth straight double-double.

ABOUT THE WARRIORS (66-7, 40-31-2 ATS, 41-31-1 O/U): Thompson scored 40 points in back-to-back games for the first time in his career and Green extended his franchise single-season record with his 12th triple-double on Sunday, and Kerr came away pleased with the effort despite some mistakes. “I know how much of a grind this is at this point, especially down several guys,” Kerr told reporters. “I’m proud of them. They continue to put forth the effort and grind out these wins.” Kerr rested reserves Shaun Livingston and Anderson Varejao on Sunday but does not expect to rest any starters as Golden State gears up for back-to-back games on Tuesday and at Utah on Wednesday.

            TRENDS:

            * Wizards are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
            * Favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.

            * Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Golden State.

CONSENSUS: The public is evenly split on the -13 point spread but the over 226.5 is getting pounded at a 67 percent clip.

Game of the Day: Hawks at Raptors
                      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raptors' on-court leader Kyle Lowry has been struggling while battling an elbow injury, but he is expect to play on Wednesday night when the Hawks come to town.

Atlanta Hawks at Toronto Raptors (-2, 200)

The Atlanta Hawks are trying to separate themselves from the pack in the race for the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference and have done their best with wins in four straight games. The Hawks will try to make it five in a row when they visit the team directly in front of them in the standings, the Toronto Raptors, on Wednesday.

Toronto does not have to worry much about Atlanta with a five-game cushion on the No. 3 spot but would like to be playing better as it preps for the playoffs. The Raptors were trounced 119-100 at home by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday and have dropped three of their last four with All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry ailing. The Hawks are one game ahead of the fourth-place Miami Heat and 1 1/2 up on the fifth-place Boston Celtics after knocking off the Chicago Bulls 102-100 on Monday to pick up their 14th win in the last 17 games. Atlanta will have to earn the No. 3 spot with a tough closing schedule that includes two games against the Raptors, two against the East-leading Cavaliers and one against the Celtics.

TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, NBATV, FSN Southeast (Atlanta), TSN (Toronto)

LINE HISTORY: The Toronto Raptors opened as 1.5-point favorites over the visiting Atlanta Hawks. The public hit the Raptors early on and the books were forced to raise the line slightly to -2. The total debuted at an even 200 and hasn't moved.

Hawks - SF T. Sefolosha (Probable Wednesday, ankle).

Raptors - SF T. Ross (Questionable Wednesday, thumb), PG K. Lowry (Probable Wednesday, elbow).

                      POWER RANKINGS: Hawks (-7.2) - Raptors (-7.7) + home court (-3) = Raptors -3.5

ABOUT THE HAWKS (45-30, 40-34-1 ATS, 35-40 O/U): Atlanta has gone over the century mark in each of its last nine games and credited the pace with helping them edge the Bulls on Monday. “We played with a lot of pace tonight,” point guard Jeff Teague told reporters after the win. “It played into our hands, playing a little faster. Those guys have so many big guys and we were able to get in the paint and make plays.” Teague and backup Dennis Schroder combined for 40 points in the win, with all of those points coming from inside the 3-point arc.

ABOUT THE RAPTORS (49-24, 39-34 ATS, 38-34-1 O/U): Lowry had his inflamed right elbow drained after Monday’s loss and is shooting 26.2 percent from the field in his last four games. “We just drained it,” Lowry told reporters. “We thought it would calm down over the next few days … hopefully we get a good reaction to it. I’m not going to make no excuses, but it’s definitely something I don’t want to play with. I don’t like playing with (it). But it is what it is. This time of year, you just play through it.” Lowry is even struggling at the free-throw line, connecting on 60.4 percent of his tries in his last five games.

                      TRENDS:

                      * Hawks are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games.
                      * Raptors are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
                      * Under is 4-0 in Hawks last 4 vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
                      * Raptors are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings.

CONSENSUS: The public is crushing the Raptors -2 at a lofty 75 percent clip and the over 200 is getting almost as much love, getting hit by 72 percent of picks.

                          March 30, 2016

Hawks at Raptors – 7:35 PM EST

Following Cleveland’s loss to Houston last night, Toronto (49-24 SU, 38-34 ATS) pulled within 2 ½ games of the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors go for their third victory over the Hawks this season after beating Atlanta three weeks ago at the Air Canada Center, 104-96 to improve to 6-1 SU/ATS in the last seven meetings. Dwane Casey’s club suffered its ninth home loss of the season in Monday’s 119-100 drubbing to Oklahoma City to fall to 1-4 ATS in the last five games.

Atlanta (45-30 SU, 40-34-1 ATS) remains atop the Southeast division with seven games remaining after winning four straight contests. The latest victory for the Hawks came in Monday’s 102-100 triumph over the Bulls to pull off the four-game series sweep of Chicago, but Atlanta failed to cover as 3 ½-point favorites. Mike Budenholzer’s team has played excellent on the highway recently by posting an 8-2 SU/ATS record in its last 10 games away from Philips Arena, while cashing the ‘under’ six times in this stretch.

Clippers at Wolves – 8:05 PM EST

Los Angeles (46-27 SU, 34-36-3 ATS) will likely have home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs, as the Clippers are basically locked into the fourth position with nine games left to play. The Clippers swept a three-game homestand against the Blazers, Nuggets, and Celtics, while cruising to double-digit victories in the back-to-back set against Denver and Boston. L.A. has struggled away from Staples Center of late by losing four of its past five road contests, including defeats at Memphis and New Orleans as heavy favorites on its last away trip.

The Wolves (25-49 SU, 35-38-1 ATS) have already nine more games than last season’s 16-win total, but Minnesota will miss the playoffs for the 12th straight season. Minnesota has won three of its last four games, including a 121-116 victory over Phoenix on Monday, but the Wolves barely missed the cover as six-point favorites. Sam Mitchell’s club captured the last meeting with the Clippers at Staples Center on February 3 as 10 ½-point underdogs in a 108-102 upset. The Wolves and Clippers have finished ‘over’ the total in all three matchups, while Minnesota has posted a 2-0-1 ATS record in these three meetings.

Warriors at Jazz – 9:05 PM EST

The beat goes on for Golden State (67-7 SU, 40-32-2 ATS), who improved to 36-0 at home with a 102-94 victory over Washington on Tuesday. The Warriors failed to cover for the fifth time in six games, as four of those ATS losses came as a double-digit favorite (-12 ½ against the Wizards). Steve Kerr’s squad owns a 16-2 SU and 11-7 ATS record with no rest this season, but the Warriors are 1-3 ATS in their last four road games in this situation. Golden State has captured 10 of the last 11 meetings with Utah since 2013, while going for the four-game season sweep.

Utah (37-37 SU, 37-37 ATS) and Houston were battling it out for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, but with Dallas’ latest struggles, both the Jazz and Rockets may make the postseason when all is said and done. The Jazz have helped themselves of late by winning eight of their last 10 games, including six victories in this span over teams that are not currently in playoff contention. Quin Snyder’s team dominated the hapless Lakers on Monday, 123-75 to hold their ninth opponent in the past 10 games to below 100 points. Utah has cashed tickets in four of its last five opportunities as a home underdog, including outright wins over Cleveland, Miami, and Memphis.

Wizards at Kings – 10:05 PM EST

Time is running out on Washington (36-38 SU, 38-36 ATS), who sits three games behind Indiana for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards have dropped three of their last four games, including crushing home losses to the Hawks and Wolves. Washington continues a five-game West Coast swing after losing at Golden State last night, as Randy Wittman’s team owns a dreadful 5-12 SU/ATS record with no rest this season. The Wizards have been involved in plenty of high-scoring games on the road with no rest by posting a 7-2 mark to the ‘over’ in the last nine games in this situation.

It’s another lost season in Sacramento (29-45 SU, 33-40-1 ATS) as the Kings will fail to qualify for the postseason for the 10th straight time. The Kings will have the full complement of players in the lineup after DeMarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo, and Rudy Gay all sat out Monday’s 105-93 setback at Portland, but Sacramento found a way to cash as 13-point underdogs. Following a six-game losing streak at Sleep Train Arena, the Kings are riding a modest two-game home winning streak after victories against the Suns and Mavericks, while quietly compiling a 5-1 ATS record in the last six games overall.

Heat at Lakers – 10:35 PM EST

Miami (43-30 SU, 39-33-1 ATS) travels out west for a rare late-season road trip across three time zones as the Heat heads to Staples Center. The Heat cruised past the Magic and Nets in the last two games as home favorites to improve to 4-1 ATS in the past five contests, while holding three of their last four opponents to 99 points or less. Erik Spoelstra’s club has finished ‘over’ the total in six consecutive games away from South Florida, while posting an impressive 7-1 SU/ATS record in its last eight contests in the role of a road favorite since January.

The Lakers (15-59 SU, 32-42 ATS) hit a new low in Monday’s 48-point drubbing at Utah, shooting just 30% from the floor, while Kobe Bryant was held to five points on 1-of-11 shooting. Los Angeles looks to snap a four-game losing streak, while dropping seven straight matchups with Miami since 2013. The Lakers fell to the Heat in Miami without Bryant in early November, 101-88 as 11-point underdogs, as each of the past four meetings between these teams at Staples Center have finished ‘under’ the total.

-- One of every seven students at George Washington U is a foreign student.

-- Valparaiso center Vashil Fernandez has 16 brothers and sisters. Sixteen.

-- In his college days, WWE wrestler Titus O'Neill played defensive end for Steve Spurrier's Florida Gators.

-- Eldrick Woods is now the 472nd-ranked golfer in the world.

Armadillo: Thursday's List of 13: Doing some thinking out loud......

                                13) NBA coaches make a lot of money; but when you read about D'Angelo Russell secretly taping a conversation with a teammate, where the teammate admits cheating on his girlfriend, and then the tape goes public, you realize that some of these teams are traveling circuses where 19-year old millionaires can blow the whole team up.

                                12) Some football people tweeted Wednesday, ".....he (Russell) is lucky he isn't on a football team, or else........"; well if he played football, he'd still be in college, since football players can't bolt for the NFL until they have three years in college. Growing up emotionally is a big part of why staying in college is often a good idea.

                                11) If you're the Lakers, don't you have to trade Russell? He has a lot of talent, but it'll take a lot to rebuild trust between his teammates and himself. Dicey situation.

                                10) Apple and Major League Baseball signed a multi-year deal to equip teams with stats, matchups, video stuff in the dugout area. Baseball is a game of numbers, so much so that you can drown in them- different teams use them different ways.

                                9) Cubs averaged 15,000+ fans for their spring training home games this month.

                                8) Oakland Grizzlies started five lefties in a game this week; don't see that a lot.

                                7) Oakland sharpshooter Max Hooper (he hasn't taken a 2-point shot all year), lost his dad last month. Chip Hooper was once manager of the Dave Matthews Band- his loss has been felt both in the Oakland community and in the music world.

                                6) Billy Donovan's first head coaching job was at Marshall in 1994, but before he took the job, Mike Brey (then a Duke assistant) turned it down. Brey became coach at Delaware the next year. Both guys have obviously had great careers.

                                5) Coaching carousel: Travis Ford to Saint Louis, Kyle Smith from Columbia to San Francisco, Zach Spiker from Army to Drexel.

Random fact: Travis Ford appeared in the movie The Sixth Man, playing role of Danny O'Grady. Ford coached at UMass, Eastern Kentucky before Oklahoma State.

                                4) Nevada 77, Morehead State 68-- Wolf Pack outscored Morehead 27-13 on the foul line, reversing Game 1 results; Eagles were 1-18 on arc in a physical game that saw tempers flare couple times. Decisive Game 3 of series is Friday night in Reno.

                                3) Old Dominion 68, Oakland 67-- Monarchs had 16 offensive rebounds, were +16 on boards as they won first Vegas 16 tournament, an event with only eight teams in it. Oakland allowed the CBS TV crew incredible access; the sideline reporter sat next to coach Greg Kampe and talked to him for a couple possessions each game, while the game was being played.

                                2) Good news for Jose Reyes and much more importantly, my fantasy baseball team; domestic violence charges against Reyes will be dropped- his wife won't cooperate with authorities. Reyes makes $22M a year, so the couple stood to lose a fortune if the trial went on as scheduled (Monday), but he isn't totally off the hook yet.

Unfortunately, Reyes might still be suspended by MLB, which suspended Aroldis Chapman 30 games, but then declined to suspend Yasiel Puig for domestic violence incidents. In the meantime, the shortstop for the Armadillos will be Marcus Semien, who hopefully won't get arrested before the season starts.

                                1) NFL linebacker Sean Weatherspoon was moving last week; during the move, his fiancee found an uncashed game check from last year, worth $138,235. Must be nice that you don't cash all your paychecks and don't notice the difference.
Remember the 3 G's Gambling, Golf, Girls not in any particular order.....
