              • Preview: Heat (37-26) at Bucks (26-38)
                Date: March 09, 2016 8:00 PM EDT

After they were mired in a rough patch and lost Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade isn't surprised the Miami Heat turned things around once Joe Johnson arrived.

Johnson will try to keep providing a lift Wednesday night when Miami goes after a sixth straight win and season series victory over the host Milwaukee Bucks.

"I'm not saying we're going to go undefeated now that Joe is here," Wade said, "but each night we go out there we're better suited with Joe here than we were before."

The Heat had won three in a row upon learning that Bosh would be sidelined indefinitely due to a blood clot in his leg. However, back-to-back losses closed a 3-4 stretch that left Atlanta knocking on the door in the Southeast Division race.

Miami responded by making a move to bolster its offense, signing Johnson on Feb. 27 after he was waived by Brooklyn. The veteran swingman has made an immediate impact, averaging 14.0 points on 60.4 percent shooting - including 8 of 12 from 3-point range - to help the Heat (37-26) win a season-high five in a row with him on board.

"That's the reason we wanted him here, because we saw him fitting in," Wade added. "You still can't replace Chris and we're not trying to replace Chris. I think Joe came at the perfect time for this team. ... Being able to add him at that time, we were playing well but we were still missing something. He's been that missing piece."

Johnson finished with 14 points and was a plus-14, raising his total to plus-72 with Miami, in Sunday's 103-98 home win over Philadelphia. Wade and Goran Dragic scored 23 apiece as Miami took both games of the home-and-home set.

The Heat are taking advantage of six-game stretch with five against teams with losing records. They can surpass last season's win total by extending their longest winning streak since running off eight in a row Feb. 11-March 3, 2014.

That would be a more difficult task without center Hassan Whiteside, who has averaged 18.0 points, 15.2 rebounds and 4.2 blocks over his last nine games. The rim protector is questionable due to a stomach illness but will make the trip.

Miami has gone 6-3 without Whiteside and 8-2 without Bosh.

Whiteside finished with 23 points and 18 rebounds in a 91-79 home loss to the Bucks (26-38) on Jan. 19 before sitting out a 107-103 win at the Bradley Center on Jan. 29 that snapped a five-game skid in this series. Wade led the way with 24 points and has seven straight 20-point efforts where he played his college ball for Marquette.

Milwaukee lost for the fifth time in seven games Monday, 100-90 at Chicago. It struggled offensively in back-to-back defeats to Oklahoma City and the Bulls, shooting a combined 38.7 percent and 10 for 37 (27.0 percent) from 3-point range.

While Milwaukee is out of the playoff hunt, Jabari Parker, Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo are playing well. Parker is scoring 21.5 per game in his last 10, Middleton is putting up 24.5 in the past six and Antetokounmpo is averaging 18.8 with 8.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists over his last 16.

Middleton had 22 points in the first meeting before Antetokounmpo had 28 points, six assists, three steals and two blocks in the second matchup.

                • Preview: Grizzlies (38-25) at Celtics (38-26)
                  Date: March 09, 2016 7:00 PM EDT

After pulling off an improbable road upset without four starters, the Memphis Grizzlies have certainly garnered the attention of the Boston Celtics.

With Zach Randolph looking to torment Boston again in his return, the Celtics insist they'll be cautious not to overlook the banged-up Grizzlies when they chase their longest home winning streak in over 25 years Wednesday night.

Memphis (38-25) is already missing leading scorer Marc Gasol, but things got worse Monday when Randolph, Mike Conley, Chris Andersen and Matt Barnes were sidelined against the Eastern Conference's best team.

Tony Allen, however, stepped up with a season-high 26 points after missing eight games with a knee injury, Mario Chalmers and Lance Stephenson scored 17 apiece and JaMychal Green had 16 in a shocking 106-103 win at Cleveland.

"It was just a game for us to get better," Allen said. "When you've got all the guys from one through 15 (and) they believe, then the sky is the limit."

The Grizzlies have won eight of 11 as they try to reel in a 3 1/2-game deficit to the fourth-place Los Angeles Clippers for home-court advantage in the West playoffs. Despite all their injuries, they're playing well offensively with 105.9 points per game and a 48.0 field-goal percentage in their last 16.

Randolph averaged 18.6 points over a 13-game stretch before struggling in Sunday's loss to Phoenix and sitting Monday. He's expected to return against a Boston team he torched for 25 points and 13 rebounds in a 101-98 home win Jan. 10.

Conley did not play in that contest and he's out again due to a sore left foot. Barnes (hamstring) and Andersen (shoulder) will also remain sidelined.

After LeBron James admitted the Cavaliers "didn't respect" the short-handed Grizzlies, the Celtics (38-26) are focused on taking them seriously as they try to win 14 in a row at home for first time since an 18-game run Nov. 14, 1990-Jan. 11, 1991.

"I don't know if that impacts your preparation, them going into Cleveland and winning," coach Brad Stevens said. "You have to play well to beat these guys. This is a team that has won regardless of who has been on the floor."

Stevens' club has scored 112.1 points per game during its run at home. Isaiah Thomas has totaled 62 in the past two at TD Garden, while Jae Crowder has averaged 17.8 over his last six there.

Boston is a half-game ahead of Miami for third place in the East after winning 16 of 21 overall. The Celtics, though, look to avoid their first back-to-back losses since Jan. 18 and 20 following Saturday's 120-103 defeat to Cleveland.

Jared Sullinger, who had 17 points and 13 rebounds, is questionable with a skin infection that landed him in the hospital. Kelly Olynyk, however, could play after missing the past nine games because of a shoulder injury.

The Celtics have the January meeting fresh in their minds. Even though Thomas scored 35, they couldn't hold a 21-point lead while getting outscored 63-45, outrebounded 35-14 and committing 10 turnovers in the second half.

"They pretty much manhandled us in the last game," Stevens recalled.

The Grizzlies have won six of seven in this series, losing 95-92 in the most recent meeting at Boston last March 11.

                  • Preview: Rockets (31-32) at 76ers (8-55)
                    Date: March 09, 2016 7:00 PM EDT

It shouldn't come as a surprise that James Harden's highest-scoring effort of the season came against the woeful Philadelphia 76ers.

The NBA's second-leading scorer is poised for another big performance as the Houston Rockets look to send the 76ers to a 13th straight loss Wednesday night.

Harden has averaged 34.7 points over his last six meetings with Philadelphia, and Houston (31-32) has won four straight and five of those games. The guard practically beat the 76ers on his own Nov. 27, pouring in 50 points with nine rebounds and eight assists in a 116-114 victory. He was one point short of matching his career high from an April 1 win over Sacramento.

Harden looks capable of making another run at that personal record, averaging 35.2 points over the last 11 games. He scored 40 and added 14 assists in a 113-107 win at Toronto on Sunday, the fourth time this season he's had at least 40 and 10. The rest of the league has four such games combined.

Harden will now try to capitalize on the league-worst 76ers (8-55), who are surrendering an average of 115.0 points during their 12-game skid. They haven't held a team under 100 points since a 98-92 overtime loss against the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 8 - the first defeat of this stretch.

While Harden's 29.0 points per game rank only behind Golden State's Stephen Curry (30.7), he's more concerned with helping the Rockets solidify a fourth straight playoff berth. They're eighth in the Western Conference.

"From here on out there's 20 games left (19 actually), so each and every game counts, so we've got to find a way to come away with wins," Harden said.

Finishing sixth would avoid a first-round matchup with the Warriors or San Antonio, but coach J.B. Bickerstaff is confident in his team and just wants to qualify.

"In a seven-game series, the group that we have, the talent that we have, the only thing that matters is winning," Bickerstaff said. "There's no doubt of what we're capable of, we've just got to get ourselves to that spot and that's been a struggle."

The entire season has been a struggle for the Sixers, who are coming off Sunday's 103-98 loss at Miami in the back end of a home-and-home set. They led by two with 4:39 remaining but were outscored 18-11 the rest of the way.

Ish Smith had 21 points, giving him that as an average while making 51.6 percent from the floor and 8 of 15 3-pointers over the last four games.

Jahlil Okafor will miss a fifth straight game with shin and knee injuries, though Nerlens Noel is expected back after a knee injury sidelined him for the last two.

"I see it with Nerlens, I see it with my young guys," coach Brett Brown told the 76ers' official website. "It's a long season for 19- and 20-year-olds. We're trying to be wise with them and help them get through it."

A knee injury prevented Noel from facing the Rockets earlier this season. Robert Covington had 28 points with eight steals, seven boards and five assists in that meeting, while Isaiah Canaan chipped in with 23 points.

                    • Preview: Pelicans (24-38) at Hornets (34-28)
                      Date: March 09, 2016 7:00 PM EDT

As Kemba Walker continues to flourish amid his career season, the Charlotte Hornets are determined to keep surging.

With Walker in position to record his first four-game streak with at least 30 points, the Hornets can win a season-high five straight for the second time in a month Wednesday night against the visiting New Orleans Pelicans.

Walker scored 21 of his 34 points in the third quarter to help Charlotte (34-28) win for the 10th time in 12 games, 108-103 over Minnesota on Monday. Sixth in the Eastern Conference, the Hornets are closing in on second-place Atlanta in the Southeast Division and are just 2 1/2 games back of first-place Miami.

"(We're) feeling pretty good but we don't want to relax," Walker said. "We need to stay hungry if we want to keep on winning and get into the playoffs."

With career highs of 21.2 points per contest, 43.3 percent shooting and 4.4 rebounds, Walker has shown his hunger by averaging 32.3 in three games and hitting 49.0 percent of his shots in the last nine. He's gone 15 of 29 from 3-point range as the Hornets have posted a 4-0 mark this month.

In Walker's five seasons, Charlotte is 20-5 when he scores at least 30.

"I just want to continue my good play," he told the NBA's official website. "That's what I've been focused on, just keep on getting better and trying to win."

Charlotte, which won five straight Feb. 6-21, has averaged 115.3 points and 42.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc in March. It can win six in a row at home for the second time this season.

"I think we've played with intensity and good confidence all year," coach Steve Clifford said. "I think our team has been a confident team from the get-go. ... I think that when they play well we're good. They have a good understanding of who we are and what we have to do."

Walker scored 31 in a 98-94 home win over the Pelicans last season. He and teammate Nicolas Batum each had 25 points in a 109-107 loss at New Orleans on Jan. 15.

Ryan Anderson hit six 3-pointers and finished with 32 points while Anthony Davis scored 22 in that contest for the Pelicans (24-38).

Davis had 31 and 11 rebounds to help New Orleans climb out of a 17-point hole and snap a four-game skid with Monday's 115-112 victory over Sacramento.

'No matter what the score is or what the situation is - playoffs or no playoffs - we're going to keep playing,' said Davis, who scored 23 in the second half.

The Pelicans shot 47.9 percent after hitting 40.2 and averaging 91.7 points in the previous three contests.

"We've been a work-in-progress for almost a year now, so we just continue to try to plug guys in to certain situations and spots and see how it can work out," coach Alvin Gentry said. "We'll just keep plugging away and try to do the best we can and try to answer some questions as far as rotations and things like that."

Gentry said he wanted to see if Jrue Holiday is worthy of being a consistent starter after the veteran guard had 20 points and 10 assists Monday in his first start since Dec. 1.

Holiday, who scored 22 against Utah two days earlier, looks like he'll get that opportunity after New Orleans announced Tuesday that guard Eric Gordon had surgery to repair a fractured right ring finger and will miss the remainder of the season.

                      • Preview: Pistons (32-31) at Mavericks (33-31)
                        Date: March 09, 2016 8:30 PM EDT

First, DeMarcus Cousins handled Dallas down low. Then, Kenneth Faried and DeAndre Jordan dominated with 20-20 performances.

The Mavericks' problems containing big men are surfacing at the wrong time as they cling to a playoff spot in the Western Conference, and if those issues persist against Andre Drummond, they could be staring down a season-worst fourth consecutive defeat.

The Detroit Pistons are in a playoff battle of their own, and they certainly hope Drummond can add to his NBA-high double-double total at the start of a crucial four-game trip Wednesday night.

Dallas (33-31) had won four of five before Cousins finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds in Sacramento's 104-101 win Thursday. Faried's 25 and 20 led lowly Denver to a 116-114 overtime victory Sunday before Jordan's 23-point, 20-rebound effort in the Los Angeles Clippers' 109-90 rout the following night.

Now the Mavericks will have to contend with Drummond, who has 53 double-doubles and leads the league in rebounding at 15.1 per game. He had 14 points and 18 boards to help Detroit (32-31) beat Portland 123-103 on Sunday.

Drummond also is averaging a league-best 5.0 offensive rebounds, which doesn't bode well for a Dallas team ranked near the bottom of the NBA in second-chance points allowed.

"Detroit is playing a similar game like (the Clippers) are, with one big guy who is a beast and spreading the floor around him," Dirk Nowitzki told the team's official website. They're really good at it as well, so it's going to be more of the same."

The Pistons actually did the Mavericks a favor by beating Portland, which is tied with Dallas for the West's sixth spot. Ninth-place Utah doesn't sit far behind in a tight race.

Sunday began a tough stretch for the Mavericks that has them playing nine straight against clubs currently sitting no lower than ninth in their respective conference.

"Through an 82-game season there's a lot of ups and downs," said Chandler Parsons, who has totaled 20 points in his last two after averaging 25.3 over his previous four. "When it gets ugly, it feels like the world is coming down on you. Right now, we've got to stick together."

The Pistons are one-half game behind Chicago for the East's final playoff spot and lost their last two road games to San Antonio and New York by a combined 29 points before beating the Trail Blazers at home.

Reggie Jackson finished with 30 points and nine assists in the victory for Detroit, which also faces Charlotte, Philadelphia and Washington on its trip.

"We've got to be more consistent," coach Stan Van Gundy told the team's official website. "We have to play well in more than every other game. Every other game's not going to get it done. We've played outstanding against some very good teams this year. We've got 19 games (remaining and) we're going to have to get 15 of those."

The Pistons are hoping rookie Stanley Johnson, who will miss his seventh straight because of a right shoulder sprain, can return at some point during the trip. Reggie Bullock wasn't factoring into Van Gundy's rotation prior to Johnson's injury, but he's averaged 9.7 points while shooting 58.8 percent in extended minutes with Johnson out.

"To sit for 45, 50 games, not playing, and then play pretty well (is tough)," Van Gundy said. "You have to give guys a lot of credit."

Detroit beat the Mavericks 108-95 in the last meeting Jan. 7, 2015, to snap six-game losing streak at Dallas and in the series.

                        • Preview: Clippers (41-21) at Thunder (43-20)
                          Date: March 09, 2016 9:30 PM EDT

Probably the biggest focus right now for the Oklahoma City Thunder is not taking their foot off the gas.

Seeing the Los Angeles Clippers should be a good reminder of that issue.

The biggest of all the recent blown leads by the Thunder came last week against the Clippers, who have been superior at closing out games behind Chris Paul and will try to do it again Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.

A 3-6 record since the All-Star break has caused concern for the Thunder and let Los Angeles (41-21) pull within 1 1/2 games of them for third place in the Western Conference. Oklahoma City needs a high-profile win considering its 3-9 record against the top four teams from each conference, with the only victory since Christmas coming against Miami.

The Clippers, meanwhile, have three such wins in just the past month.

That doesn't mean the Thunder (43-20) haven't had prime chances for that kind of confidence-building results.

They lost to Golden State despite leading by nine late in the third quarter Thursday, five days after wasting a late 11-point lead in a loss to the Warriors. In between, Oklahoma City led by as many as 22 in Los Angeles and by 16 with eight minutes left in last Wednesday's 103-98 loss to the Clippers.

"Once we learn how to really put the whole 48 minutes together, I think we'll be a dangerous team," said Thunder guard Dion Waiters, shooting 5 for 23 in the last three games. "We're still dangerous right now, but we're still learning.

"Times like this, we need to go through. We need to face adversity."

Top contenders aren't the only teams the Thunder have struggled to finish off since the break. They blew a seven-point lead in the final 2 1/2 minutes against Indiana, squandered a halftime lead in a loss at New Orleans and had trouble putting away Milwaukee on Monday.

The Thunder were ahead by 21 with under six minutes left in the third, let the lead slip to five points entering the fourth and struggled to hold off the lowly Bucks 104-96.

Coach Billy Donovan feels his team is having some "self-induced lapses."

"I think the (mistakes) we've gotta try to eliminate is sometimes when we're generating the momentum changing in the favor of the other team," he said.

That happened against the Clippers last week, when Paul had five of his 13 assists during the late rally.

Paul scored 18 of his 27 points in the game-changing third quarter of a 109-90 win in Dallas on Monday and finished a season-best 12 of 18 from the field.

"When it's going like that, I'm just trying to force the action," Paul said after Los Angeles' fourth win in five games.

As Blake Griffin remains sidelined, Paul has stepped up his point production with an average of 24.8 in the last 10 games along with 11.1 assists.

"We are very fortunate we get to witness greatness on pretty much a nightly basis," teammate J.J. Redick said of Paul.

Whereas Paul becoming more selfish has sometimes lifted Los Angeles to wins, counterpart Russell Westbrook doing the same hasn't benefited the Thunder. Westbrook has hoisted more than 20 field-goal attempts in each of the Thunder's past four defeats. Their only two wins on a recently completed four-game road trip came when he had fewer than 10 attempts, and Oklahoma City is 14-0 when he takes fewer than 15.

While Westbrook shot 8 of 21 against the Clippers, Kevin Durant was 12 for 27 as Oklahoma City shot 39.8 percent - its lowest mark in 2016.

Durant had 30 points and 11 rebounds that day, among his current stretch of six straight double-doubles, but had six turnovers. He's committed 20 in the last three games but had at least 30 points in each.

                          • Preview: Cavaliers (44-18) at Kings (25-37)
                            Date: March 09, 2016 10:00 PM EDT

It might seem difficult to fathom that a team currently sitting atop the Eastern Conference after appearing in last season's NBA Finals is "still learning," but that's exactly how LeBron James describes the Cleveland Cavaliers.

DeMarcus Cousins certainly envies that position, though, as his stellar efforts have done little to help the Sacramento Kings' dimming playoff hopes lately.

Cleveland begins a four-game trip that features three teams outside of the playoff picture when it visits Sacramento on Wednesday night.

The Cavs (44-18) took a three-game winning streak into Tuesday's home matchup with Memphis, which revealed shortly before tipoff it would be resting four starters. Cleveland failed to take advantage and trailed for most of the game in a surprising 106-103 loss to a team that dressed only eight players.

James scored 28 points and Kyrie Irving finished with 27, but they combined for 11 of the Cavs' season-high 25 turnovers that lead to 30 points for Memphis.

"I don't care who you are playing, if it's my son's little league team you're going to lose when you give up that many points off turnovers," James said. "We were very careless with our mindset - and with the ball."

Playoff time is when the Cavs again hope to shine after James led a team playing mostly without Kevin Love and Irving to last year's Finals in his first season back with his hometown club.

They have a two-game lead on Toronto for the top spot in the East and have fought through plenty of adversity, including rumors of discord in the locker room and a coaching change when Tyronn Lue replaced David Blatt on Jan. 22. Still, James knows every game won't go their way.

"We're a team that's still learning, man," James said. "We got some young guys and a group that's been together for a little over a year. It's another learning experience for us."

The Cavs will see mostly non-playoff teams on their trip as they face Sacramento (25-37) and the West-worst Los Angeles Lakers, followed by the Clippers and Utah, which is ninth in the West.

The Kings are 5 1/2 games back of Houston for the final playoff spot but haven't helped their cause lately by dropping six of their last seven. Even Cousins putting up his usual monster numbers hasn't helped.

Cousins finished with 40 points - the 23rd time he's hit at least 30 - and 16 rebounds Tuesday, but Sacramento blew a 17-point lead in the second half of a 115-112 loss at New Orleans.

Rajon Rondo had 18 points, 10 assists and matched Cousins with five turnovers.

The Kings finished with 25 giveaways and rank near the bottom of the league by turning the ball over on 14.6 percent of their possessions.

"Playing defense, taking smart shots, good shots, sharing the ball - that's what got us into the lead and that's what we got way from," Cousins said. "(Turnovers have) been killing us all year. It's going to continue to be a problem if we don't fix it."

Rondo had six turnovers and Cousins finished with 14 points - 13.3 below his average - while shooting 5 of 14 in a 120-100 loss to Cleveland on Feb. 8.

James had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for his only triple-double of the season to help Cleveland win for the 10th time in 11 matchups when he's wearing a Cavs uniform.

                                March 9, 2016

Grizzlies at Celtics – 7:05 PM EST

Memphis (38-25 SU, 33-29-1 ATS) is currently the fifth seed in the Western Conference, but fielding a healthy lineup is a challenge for the Grizzlies. Both point guard Mike Conley and Zach Randolph sat out Monday night at Cleveland due to injury, but the Grizzlies managed to upset the Cavaliers as 14 ½-point underdogs, 106-103. Memphis bounced back from an ugly home loss to Phoenix on Sunday as Dave Joerger’s club relied on 43 combined points from Tony Allen and Lance Stephenson on 19-of-32 shooting from the floor.

The Celtics (38-26 SU, 35-28-1 ATS) haven’t lost a home game in two months, riding a 13-game home winning streak at TD Garden. Boston is back on the court for the first time since Saturday’s 120-103 drubbing at Cleveland as eight-point underdogs, as the C’s have won five straight games when coming off a loss. Brad Stevens’ team looks to avenge a 101-98 setback at Memphis in January when the Celtics squandered a 21-point first half lead. Since 2013, the Celtics have dropped six of the past seven meetings, as the lone victory came at home last season as 6 ½-point underdogs, 95-92.

Pistons at Mavericks – 8:05 PM EST

Dallas (33-31 SU, 34-29-1 ATS) has gone backwards of late by losing three straight games, including a back-to-back set earlier this week to the Nuggets and Clippers. The Mavericks took care of a soft home schedule with recent victories over the 76ers, Magic, and Wolves before getting tripped up by the Kings and Clippers at the American Airlines Center. Rick Carlisle’s squad was held to below 100 points for the first time in 11 games in Monday’s 109-90 setback to Los Angeles, but the ‘over’ is still on a strong run for Dallas by hitting in 10 of the past 12 games.

The Pistons (32-31 SU, 32-30-1 ATS) snapped a two-game skid in Sunday’s 123-103 home blowout of the Blazers as all five Detroit starters scored in double-figures. Since beating Phoenix and Portland on the road in early November, Stan Van Gundy’s team has lost nine of its past 12 games on the highway against Western Conference foes with three victories coming against Minnesota, Houston, and Utah. Detroit is riding a five-game ‘under’ streak on the road, as the Pistons have broken the 100-point mark just once in this stretch.

Clippers at Thunder – 9:35 PM EST

These two Western Conference rivals are meeting for the second time in a week as Los Angeles (41-21 SU, 31-28-3 ATS) stunned Oklahoma City by erasing a 22-point deficit in a 103-98 victory at Staples Center last Wednesday. The Clippers ended the game on a 26-5 run, as the Thunder converted one field goal attempt in the final 7:30 minutes of regulation. L.A. has won four of its last five games, including road victories in this span at Sacramento and Dallas. The ‘under’ has hit in seven of the past nine contests for Doc Rivers’ squad, while yielding less than 100 points six times since the All-Star break.

Oklahoma City (43-20 SU, 25-37-1 ATS) returns home from a 2-2 road swing, capped off by a 104-96 triumph at Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon as 7 ½-point favorites. The Thunder has struggled against the cream of the crop this season by posting a 2-7 record against the Warriors, Spurs, Cavaliers, Raptors, and Clippers, as OKC beat San Antonio way back on opening night. Billy Donovan’s team won eight straight games at home to close the first half, but the Thunder haven’t picked up a home victory since the All-Star break, losing to the Pacers, Cavaliers, and Warriors at Chesapeake Energy Arena in the last three tries.

Cavaliers at Kings – 10:05 PM EST

Cleveland (44-18 SU, 27-32-3 ATS) embarks on a four-game road trip against Western Conference foes, looking to bounce back from Monday’s 106-103 home defeat to Memphis as 14 ½-point favorites. The Cavs have lost each of their last two games away from Quicken Loans Arena to Toronto and Washington, but Cleveland owns an impressive 6-1 SU and 4-2-1 ATS record in its past seven road contests against Western Conference opponents. These teams met last month in Cleveland as the Cavaliers rolled the Kings, 120-100 to cash as 12-point favorites as Kyrie Irving scored 32 points and dished out 12 assists.

The rough season in Sacramento (25-37 SU, 27-35 ATS) continues after the Kings dropped three of four games on their recent road swing against Southwest division opponents. Sacramento fell at New Orleans on Monday as 1 ½-point favorites, 115-112, while allowing at least 100 points for the 19th straight contest. The schedule-makers weren’t kind to George Karl’s team, who recently went 0-3 on a homestand against the Thunder, Clippers, and Spurs in late February. However, the Kings have won each of the past three home matchups with the Cavaliers, even though LeBron James sat out last season’s 103-84 loss at Sleep Train Arena.

Jazz at Warriors – 10:35 PM EST

Golden State (56-6 SU, 34-26-2 ATS) bounced back from an ugly loss to the Lakers on Sunday as 17 ½-point favorites as the Warriors knocked off the Magic on Monday, 119-113. The defending champions failed to cash as 16-point favorites, but Steve Kerr’s club held a 17-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and Stephen Curry lit up Orlando for 41 points. The Warriors have failed to cash in three of their past four games at Oracle Arena, while posting a 3-8-1 ATS record in the last 12 contests overall.

Utah (29-34 SU, 29-34 ATS) has turned into pointspread poison of late by compiling a 1-8 ATS record in the last nine games, while winning just two games straight-up in this stretch over Houston and New Orleans. The Jazz were tripped up by the Hawks at home last night, 91-84, scoring below 96 points for the sixth time in the last seven contests. Utah plays with double-revenge after losing twice to Golden State this season, including a 103-85 setback at Oracle Arena as 14-point underdogs in late December. Quin Snyder’s team has been wiped out in three games this season as a double-digit underdog, getting blown out at Golden State and twice at San Antonio.
