Big congrats to my nephew Matt McCall, the new head coach of Tennessee-Chattanooga. In his first game, his guys whip Georgia 92-90 at Georgia no less! Great start for this Billy Donovan protege in his first head coaching job!

We sure are! He's a great kid who works like a mule at everything he's ever tried.

He was coaching with a heavy heart last night. We lost my mother (Matt's grandmother) the night before the game. I wish she could have hung on long enough to see his debut but I guess she was just ready to go.

Thanks, Hammy! I've been trying to mentally prepare myself for a couple of years but, when it happens, it still hurts.

I love college sports even more now that the NFL owners have shown their true colors in regards to the New Jersey vote that legalized sports wagering in that state.

They're children. They bribed federal officials to overturn the popular vote of the people of New Jersey because they say they don't want to play where sports betting is legal. However, they want to put a franchise in London where there is a legal sportsbook on every block. Just ridiculous! I won't even watch the NFL anymore.
