Kings Cousins, Gay to miss last 3 games
Center DeMarcus Cousins and forward Rudy Gay of the Sacramento Kings will miss the last three games of the regular season, the Kings announced on Saturday.
Cousins was examined in Los Angeles by Dr. Richard Ferkel, who determined that he has sustained multiple lower leg injuries over the course of the season, including ankle sprains and a calf strain.
In 59 games this season, Cousins averaged 24.1 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.53 steals and 1.76 blocked shots.
Cousins is expected to be ready for training camp.
Gay sustained a concussion on March 30 and was held out of the next three games and after returning earlier this week, he experienced further symptoms.
In 68 games, Gay averaged a career-high 21.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, a career-best 3.7 assists and 1.04 steals.
