    Armadillo: Thursday's six-pack

-- Duke 91, Virginia Tech 86 OT-- Refs pulled Dukies thru in this one, even though game was in Blacksburg.

-- Davidson 60, Rhode Island 59-- A-14 tourney is going to be tremendous.

-- Richmond 67, VCU 63, 2OT-- Rams led late in OT after being down 16 in second half, but gave up tying layup and lost in second OT.

-- Northwestern 72, Indiana 65-- Bad loss for Tom Crean.

-- Baylor 79, Iowa State 70-- Scott Drew doesn't enough credit for what he does.

-- Missouri State 80, Bradley 77, 3OT-- Two lousy teams played a great game.

    **********

Armadillo: Thursday's List of 13: Looking thru some college hoop stuff......

    13) Big West-- Cal-Davis has a two-game lead over Irvine. Long Beach lost its last four games, is in middle of the pack. Riverside is a much-improved team.

    12) Mountain West-- Down year in this league; San Diego State is far and away the best team, but they struggle to score. Not sure Boise or Colorado State will get into the NCAAs if they don't win the conference tournament.

    11) MAC-- Central Michigan is 11-4, three other teams are 10-5. This conference tournament is always chaotic in Cleveland; this year will be no different.

    10) MVC-- Wichita and Northern Iowa, Northern Iowa and Wichita. Anyone else winning conference tourney would be huge upset. Teams play Saturday in Wichita.

    9) AAC-- SMU and Tulsa are tied at top, but Cincinnati's defense is a good as aoyone. UConn is damn good #6 seed, but league drops way off after that.

    8) Atlantic 14-- Four teams are 11-4; two others are 9-6. VCU, Davidson look good for NCAAs; everyone else needs to win conference tourney.

Needs to be pointed out here how many conferences have wide-open races; other than Kentucky, Wisconsin and maybe Gonzaga, every team in the country has glaring flaws-- aren't many deep teams.

    7) WCC-- Gonzaga is to this league what UNLV was to the Big West 25 years ago, in Tark the Shark's heydey. Bulldogs have a 4-game lead, but has this league prepared the Zags for the rigors of March Madness?

    6) Pac-12-- Arizona is best team, but if Stanley Johnson has a rough night, who picks up the slack? Could be a two-bid league, with Wildcats and Utah.

    5) SEC-- Three teams behind Kentucky all lost their last game, two of them at home. Florida has had a dismal season. Luckily spring football practice starts soon.

    4) Big 14-- Purdue has been a pleasant surprise, so has Maryland, but Purdue also lost to Gardner-Webb and North Florida. Four teams are locks; Indiana/Illinois are bubblicious-- Purdue and Iowa are close to being in.

    3) ACC-- Five teams are locks, but North Carolina is playing lousy and Duke damn near got beat at Virginia Tech last night. Virginia needs to get healthy, Louisville has no point guard and Notre Dame is soft on defense.

    2) Big East-- Not sure what to make of this league. Villanova has a 3-game lead, but this is a league where everyone else has at least eight losses. Butler is a pleasant surprise. DePaul has improved, but they're still in sixth place.

    1) Big X-- League is just too hard; Home teams are 50-26, 4th-best home win %age in country. Texas is in 8th place but is #21 nationally in KenPom rankings.

Top 25 roundup: Kentucky moves to 28-0

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The only thing more frightful than the snowstorm outside Humphrey Coliseum was the play inside of No. 1 ranked and unbeaten Kentucky as the Wildcats defeated Mississippi State 74-56 on Wednesday night in a Southeastern Conference clash.

Scoring its most points in a road game since beating UCLA 83-44 on Dec. 20 in Chicago, Kentucky (28-0, 15-0 SEC) used a spurt to blow open the game. The run came after Mississippi State (12-16, 5-10) had closed to within four points with 15:05 remaining.

In a span of 4:25, Kentucky outscored Mississippi State 19-3 to move ahead by 20 points, 60-40, with 8:40 remaining. The Wildcats coasted home from that point for the easy victory.

Freshman forward Trey Lyles paced Kentucky with a career-best 18 points.

Mississippi State was led by junior guard Fred Thomas with 14 points.

            Virginia 70, Wake Forest 34

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Short-handed Virginia never missed a beat, with forward Anthony Gill scoring 11 points as the second-ranked Cavaliers demolished Wake Forest at Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

Forward Darion Atkins added 10 points for first-place Virginia (26-1, 14-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), which won a one-point decision against Wake Forest less than two weeks ago. In the rematch, the Cavaliers did all this without starting point guard London Perrantes, who was out with a broken nose and mild concussion sustained three nights earlier. He was seated on the Virginia bench next to guard Justin Anderson, who is out after finger surgery.

Forward Dinos Mitoglou scored eight of his 10 points in the second half for Wake Forest (12-16, 4-11), which played its third game in a row against a Top 10 opponent. It was the Demon Deacons' lowest point total in 26 seasons since Lawrence Joel Coliseum opened.

Duke 91, Virginia Tech 86 (OT)

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- No. 4 Duke was thrilled to have freshman center Jahlil Okafor back in the lineup at Virginia Tech because without him the Blue Devils might have been the victims of one of the biggest upsets of the season.

He had a career-high 30 points and nine rebounds in Duke's comeback win in overtime at Cassell Coliseum. Okafor, who missed Saturday's home win against Clemson with a left ankle injury, was a force inside. He made 13 of 18 shots from the field in 37 minutes.

The Blue Devils (25-3, 12-3 ACC) held off a furious upset attempt by the Hokies (10-18, 2-13), who took a second top-five team down to the wire at home this season without sealing the deal. Virginia Tech fell 50-47 at home to No. 2 Virginia on Jan. 25.

Duke guard Quinn Cook finished with 26 points. Virginia Tech freshman guard Jalen Hudson came off the bench to score a team-high 23 points.

Wichita State 63, Indiana State 53

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Gregg Marshall reached two milestones with one shot and No. 11 Wichita State did its part to set up a showdown for the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title.

The Shockers coach won his 200th game at the school and his 100th conference game as forward Darius Carter scored 20 points in a 63-53 victory over Indiana State. Point guard Fred VanVleet hit for 15 points, including a difficult fadeaway over 6-foot-10 center Jake Kitchell with the shot clock about to expire for a 55-49 edge with 3:36 left. Guard Tekele Cotton added 12 points. Carter's 3-point play with 1:58 left gave Wichita State (26-3, 16-1) a nine-point lead, icing the outcome.

Next up for Wichita State: A rematch with visiting Northern Iowa on Saturday for the top seed in next weekend's conference tournament.

Forward Khristian Smith pumped in 20 points for the Sycamores (14-15, 10-7).

            Richmond 67, VCU 63 (2 OT)

Reserve guard ShawnDre' Jones scored 22 points and Richmond beat No. 22 VCU in a double-overtime thriller to sweep the season series with its cross-town rival for the first time since 2001.

Forward Terry Allen had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the host Spiders (16-12, 9-6 Atlantic 10). Guard Kendall Anthony scored 13 points and forward T.J. Cline added 11 for Richmond, which won its third game in a row.

Rams guard Treveon Graham scored 25 points, including a clutch 3-pointer in the closing seconds of regulation, but VCU (21-7, 11-4) still fell into a four-way tie with Rhode Island, Dayton and Davidson for first place in the Atlantic 10. VCU guard JeQuan Lewis finished with 15 points.

Graham tied the game at 52 with a 3-pointer with six seconds left to force overtime.

            Butler 73, Marquette 52

INDIANAPOLIS -- Guard Kellen Dunham sank consecutive 3-point shots in a 20-second span early in the second half to begin a 21-7 burst and 23rd-ranked Butler defeated Big East rival Marquette in Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Marquette (11-16, 3-12 Big East) had pulled within 38-35 when Dunham, who led all scorers with 22 points, made a 3-pointer with 16:13 left and then another with 15:53 left to give Butler (20-8, 10-5) a 44-35 lead, prompting a Golden Eagles timeout. A basket by guard Kelan Martin with 8:42 left capped the 21-7 run and gave Butler a 59-42 advantage. Another Dunham 3-pointer with 5:26 to go extended the Bulldogs' lead to 66-46.

The victory pulled the Bulldogs into a second-place Big East tie with Georgetown, each three games behind conference-leading Villanova with three games to play.

Center Luke Fischer led Marquette with 17 points.

            Baylor 79, Iowa State 70

AMES, Iowa -- Baylor used a huge second-half shooting barrage and a strong defensive effort down the stretch for an historic victory Wednesday night. The 19th-ranked Bears beat No. 12 Iowa State in Hilton Coliseum for the first time in 13 tries while ending the Cyclones' 21-game home-court win streak.

Trailing 62-54 with 8:28 to play, the Bears (21-7, 9-6 Big 12) hit 3-pointers on six consecutive possessions to surge into the lead. Forward Taurean Prince scored 20 points off the bench to lead the Bears and knocked down three 3-pointers during the decisive 18-4 Baylor run. He was one of five Baylor players to finish in double figures.

Forward Jameel McKay scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Cyclones (20-7, 11-5), who missed an opportunity to tie Kansas for first place in the Big 12. Iowa State dropped into a tie for second in the conference with Oklahoma and West Virginia.

            Northern Iowa, 68, Evansville 57

Guard Deon Mitchell scored 17 points to lead No. 10 Northern Iowa past Evansville in a Missouri Valley Conference game in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

The Panthers (27-2, 16-1 MVC) will play 11th-ranked Wichita State on Saturday in a showdown for the conference title and the top seed in the postseason tournament. The two teams are tied for first place in the standings.

Guard Paul Jesperson added 11 points for the Panthers, who weathered a 13-1 run by the Purple Aces early in the second half that trimmed the lead to 45-40 with 12:02 left before scoring eight straight points in the next 2:54 to secure the win.

Guard D.J. Balentine had 16 points to lead Evansville (19-10, 9-8) and center Egidijius Mockevicius had his 17th double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Home teams are money for bettors Wednesday night

NBA home teams sent their backers home happy going an impressive 9-3 against the spread Wednesday night.

Home favorites went 6-2 ATS and home dogs went 3-1 ATS.

Home teams actually have cashed less than road teams this season, coming in at a rate of 48.3 percent.

Thunder burning up the court and the window

The Oklahoma City Thunder have won seven consecutive games and have impressively covered in each of those games. The Thunder have outscored opponents by an average of 14.9 points in those seven contests, but have faced an average spread of -6.

Oklahoma City will travel to Phoenix Thursday with the Suns playing their second game of a back-to-back. The Thunder are currently 5-point favorites.

Cavaliers on remarkable ATS run vs. West foes

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a red-hot bet when they face Western Conference opponents, covering the spread in nine consecutive games against foes from what is considered the superior conference.

The Cavaliers, also 9-0 straight up in that stretch, haven't failed to cover a spread against a Western Conference opponent since losing 107-100 in Phoenix, back on Jan. 13.

The Cavaliers look to extend the streak when they host the Golden State Warriors Thursday night. At home Cleveland is 9-4 ATS versus the West.

NBA roundup: Hawks win NBA-best 26th home game

ATLANTA -- Forward Paul Millsap had 15 points and eight rebounds to spark the Atlanta Hawks to a 104-87 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

Millsap scored seven of his points during a 13-0 stretch in the second quarter that allowed the Hawks (45-12) to go from four points behind to nine points ahead. Millsap tied the game with a 3-pointer and capped the streak with a steal and dunk and another driving basket that put Atlanta ahead 66-57.

The win was the NBA-leading 26th home victory for the Hawks, who have won two straight and swept the season series with the Mavericks. Atlanta has swept five series against teams from the Western Conference. Dallas had its two-game winning streak snapped.

Atlanta had six players in double figures: guard Dennis Schroder (17), guard Kyle Korver (16), forward DeMarre Carroll (13), center Al Horford (11) and guard Jeff Teague (11).

Dallas (39-21) was led by guard Monta Ellis with 17 points, 15 in the first half. J.J. Barea, who started at point guard in place of the suspended Rajon Rondo, had 13 points and seven assists. Forward Richard Jefferson and guard Devin Harris each scored 10.

                  Pelicans 102, Nets 96

NEW ORLEANS -- Forward Quincy Pondexter scored a career-high 25 points, including a 3-pointer from the left wing with 49.9 seconds left, and guard Tyreke Evans scored 15 points and dished out 11 assists to lift short-handed New Orleans to a victory over Brooklyn at the Smoothie King King Center.

Pondexter's final 3-pointer -- his fourth in eight attempts -- gave New Orleans a 101-91 lead, and the Pelicans (30-27) coasted to their third consecutive victory.

The Nets (23-32) were led by forward Joe Johnson with 21 points and forward Thaddeus Young with 19.

                  Timberwolves 97, Wizards 77

MINNEAPOLIS -- Kevin Garnett had five points and eight rebounds as Minnesota defeated Washington at the Target Center.

For Garnett, acquired from the Brooklyn Nets at last Thursday's NBA trade deadline, it was his first game in a Timberwolves uniform since April 9, 2007 -- a span of 2,879 days.

Minnesota (13-43) has struggled all season, but it wasn't evident from the packed house of 19,856 -- the largest crowd all season. Lines stretched out of the arena two hours before the game as fans waited to catch a glimpse of the franchise's career leader in every major statistical category.

                  Hornets 98, Bulls 86

CHICAGO -- The first game after learning of Derrick Rose's latest knee injury did not go well for Chicago, which looked lackluster in a loss to Charlotte at the United Center.

The Hornets (23-32) pulled away in the fourth quarter after a tight back-and-forth game through the first 36 minutes. Two free throws by forward Taj Gibson pulled Chicago (36-22) within 78-74 with 8:13 left in the game, but the Hornets used a 17-4 run in the next six minutes to ice the game.

Forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and center Al Jefferson combined to score 16 of the points in the run, adding eight each. Kidd-Gilchrist finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead five Hornets players in double-figures scoring.

Guard Mo Williams scored 17 points, guard/forward Gerald Henderson scored 11 and guard Brian Roberts chipped in 12 for Charlotte, which snapped a five-game losing streak.

                  Bucks 104, 76ers 88

MILWAUKEE -- Michael Carter-Williams got Milwaukee career off to a successful beginning and barely had to break a sweat in doing so. Playing against his struggling former teammates, the point guard needed only 17 minutes to post seven points and eight assists as the Bucks dismantled Philadelphia.

Center John Henson scored 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting to lead five Milwaukee players in double figures. The Bucks (32-25) took a big lead early and were never threatened as they snapped a two-game skid.

Milwaukee led by 29 at the half as Philadelphia (12-45) was sloppy from the start in committing 19 turnovers by halftime and 28 for the game. The Bucks were far from sharp, giving the ball away 24 times.

                  Heat 93, Magic 90 (OT)

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Forward Luol Deng scored 21 points to lead Miami to an overtime victory over Orlando at the Amway Center.

The Heat (25-31) erased an eight-point deficit in the final 42 seconds of regulation, then smothered the Magic in overtime when guard Dwyane Wade scored four points.

Heat center Hassan Whiteside finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Wade had 18 points, and point guard Goran Dragic added eight points and five assists.

Magic center Nikola Vucevic had 26 points and eight rebounds, and guard Victor Oladipo contributed 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. Forward Tobias Harris had 12 points and eight rebounds.

                  Celtics 115, Knicks 94

BOSTON -- Isaiah Thomas and Jonas Jerebko, making their home debuts with their new team, both came off the bench and helped Boston to a victory over hapless New York.

The Celtics, who still have a shot at an Eastern Conference playoff berth despite a 22-33 record, used a 34-6 run during the second half of the third quarter and the first 4:15 of the fourth to walk away with the game while sending the Knicks to their seventh straight loss.

Thomas, a guard acquired from the Phoenix Suns, followed two 21-point performances on the road by scoring 19 points and adding seven assists and six rebounds. Jerebko, picked up from the Detroit Pistons, used his first serious Celtics playing time to score a season-high 20 points and grab five rebounds.

Celtics guard Evan Turner posted the first triple-double of his NBA career with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Jae Crowder, also coming off the bench, had 18 points, six rebounds and four assists. Rookie guard Marcus Smart, also off the bench, had 16 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter.

                  Rockets 110, Clippers 105

HOUSTON -- Corey Brewer and Josh Smith provided Houston with a needed punch off the bench, leading the way to a victory over Los Angeles at Toyota Center.

Brewer paired 20 points with six rebounds while Smith added nine points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks as Houston (39-18) snapped a six-game series losing streak to the Clippers (37-21).

With All-Star guard James Harden on the bench, the Rockets opened the fourth with a 13-1 run. Brewer and Smith co-authored the run to a double-digit lead, with Smith thwarting shots at the rim while Brewer scored in transition and from behind the arc. His second 3 of the period pushed Houston to a 97-86 lead and followed two fast-break baskets.

Crawford paced the Clippers with 24 points while guard Chris Paul (22 points, 14 assists) and center DeAndre Jordan (22 points, 19 rebounds) posted double-doubles.

                  Suns 110, Nuggets 96

DENVER -- Guard Brandon Knight had 19 points, guard Eric Bledsoe scored 18 as Phoenix beat Denver.

Forward Gerald Green had 15 points off the bench for the Suns, who ended a five-game losing streak. Phoenix won on the road for the first time in seven weeks.

Phoenix (30-28) kept its fading playoff hopes alive with its first win since before the All-Star break. The Suns trail Oklahoma City by two-and-a-half games for the eighth spot in the Western Conference and can get closer when they host the Thunder Thursday night.

Forward Will Barton scored a season-high 22 points and forward Danilo Gallinari had 20 points for the Nuggets. Denver has lost eight straight at home and 18 of 20 overall.

                  Lakers 100, Jazz 97

SALT LAKE CITY -- Shooting guard Jordan Clarkson scored a game-high 22 points and short-handed Los Angeles rallied to beat Utah at EnergySolutions Arena.

The Lakers used a 31-19 fourth quarter to surprise the home team, which was riding high after consecutive impressive wins over Portland and San Antonio. Los Angeles (15-41) won its second straight game after ending a seven-game losing streak.

Center Jordan Hill, guard Wayne Ellington and center Robert Sacre each sank two free throws in the final 19 seconds to help the Lakers hold on.

Small forward Gordon Hayward scored a team-high 20 points for Utah, which dropped to 21-35 after winning four of its previous five games.

                  Kings 102, Grizzlies 90

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Forward Rudy Gay scored 28 points, center DeMarcus Cousins scored eight of his 16 during Sacramento's 10-0 run to start the fourth quarter, and the Kings ended their misery against Memphis with a victory at Sleep Train Arena.

Gay made 12 of 20 shots, and his back-to-back jumpers -- one of them a 3-pointer -- were part of a 19-6 run in the final period that allowed Sacramento to end a nine-game skid against the Western Conference's second-best team. The Kings (20-35) also snapped a five-game home slide against Memphis (41-15) and won back-to-back home contests for first time since November.

Sacramento is 2-0 at home under new coach George Karl.

Cousins was quiet until opening the final quarter with a 20-foot jumper, the first of seven straight points he scored to begin the period. The Kings scored the first 10 points of the quarter, turning a 77-76 deficit into a nine-point lead they wouldn't relinquish. The Kings' All-Star also contributed nine rebounds and six assists.

                  Trail Blazers 111, Spurs 95

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Guard Wesley Matthews scored 21 of his season-high 31 points in the second half as Portland broke things open in the fourth quarter of a victory over San Antonio at the Moda Center.

Blazers guard Damian Lillard had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and forward Nicolas Batum collected 15 points, nine assists and four rebounds. Portland (37-19) snapped a two-game losing streak and won for the seventh time in 18 games.

Forward Tim Duncan scored 20 points on 9-for-12 shooting to go with eight rebounds for the Spurs (34-23). Guard Danny Green added 17 points, and forward Kawhi Leonard had 14 points and eight rebounds for the defending NBA champions, who lost for the fourth consecutive game.

Basketball bettors can get hurt handicapping big-name NBA injuries

The sports foundation of the city of Chicago was rocked to its core on Tuesday night when the news surfaced that three-time All-Star point guard Derrick Rose would likely miss the remainder of the 2014-2015 season with a medial meniscus tear in his right knee. Almost instantaneously, the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas adjusted its NBA title odds to reflect the loss of Rose, moving the Bulls from 8/1 to win the championship to 20/1.

The injury to Rose is just the latest in a wave of ailments to plague some of the league’s brightest superstars. Miami power forward Chris Bosh was recently diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs that could keep the two-time champion away from American Airlines Arena for the rest the year, while Oklahoma City small forward Kevin Durant is out indefinitely after undergoing a procedure to replace a screw in his foot that was seriously ailing the six-time All-Star.

On the flip side, the Portland Trail Blazers were more than ecstatic to welcome LaMarcus Aldridge back to the starting lineup Wednesday night for the team’s marquee showdown with the San Antonio Spurs after the power forward missed Sunday’s game against Memphis with a right thumb sprain.

Injuries to NBA superstars, major or minor, tend to have a significant effect on both the pointspread and total. For example, the Bulls opened offshore on Tuesday afternoon as a 9-point favorite for Wednesday night’s home date with the Charlotte Hornets before the Rose announcement forced an adjustment all the way to Chicago -6.5.

The key for gamblers, however, is to determine whether the line movement in these situations is an overreaction to the injury news or an accurate reflection of the updated market.

“Players are evaluated on not only what they mean to their team but what the makeup of the other personnel on the team is,” Johnny Avello, Executive Director of Race & Sports at the Wynn Las Vegas told Covers. “If Kevin Durant is out, Russell Westbrook becomes more of the offensive show and guys like D.J. Augustin and Dion Waiters can pick up the slack. Therefore, Durant may only be worth three points to the line, whereas an injury to Chris Bosh may be worth as many as five points because of what’s surrounding him.”

Of course, bettors must first take into account whether or not the injury news they have discovered is still flying below the radar or already accounted for.

“If bettors find out that a player is out before we do, we’ll definitely see a bet,” said Avello. “If we get the information first, the line is adjusted and it usually means slower action on that specific game.”

Take for example the January 5, 2012 matchup that saw the Miami Heat travel to Atlanta for a showdown with Josh Smith and the Hawks. Miami opened in the neighborhood of a 6-point favorite, but a few hours before tipoff it was announced that LeBron James and Dwayne Wade would not play for the Heat in order to catch up on some much-needed rest. The subsequent announcement that two-thirds of the “Big Three” would not suit up that evening triggered an overreaction by the betting public, which drove the price of the game down to a closing line of Miami -1.

The final result? Chris Bosh and the Heat prevailed 116-109 in overtime.

Will the same type of overreaction take place to the aforementioned teams that have lost superstar talent for the foreseeable future?

                          Chicago Bulls:
While the loss of Rose serves as a devastating blow to Chicago’s title chances, it’s worth noting that this situation is nothing new for head coach Tom Thibodeau and the Bulls. Rose appeared in just 21.3 percent of Chicago’s regular season contests in the three seasons prior to this year, with the Bulls covering the number in just 48 percent of those contests without Rose (87-94) and 59.1 percent with their star point guard (29-20).

During the 2012-2013 campaign that Rose missed in its entirety, Chicago went 36-46 ATS during the regular season. The Bulls may be in familiar territory here with Rose out of the lineup, but that doesn’t mean they’ll find a way to cover the spread on a consistently profitable basis.

                          Oklahoma City Thunder:
The best time to ride the Thunder may be when Durant is out of the lineup thanks to the overreaction that takes place on behalf of the betting market. When the OKC star missed the first 17 games of the season his team still managed to post a 9-7-1 mark against the spread.

However, since Durant has been back in action, the Thunder have gone just 19-20-1 ATS. That isn’t a huge discrepancy, but it speaks to how good of a team this can be with Russell Westbrook running the show on his own.

Miami Heat: In the 44 games the Heat have played with Chris Bosh on the floor this season, the team is averaging 96.4 points per game while surrendering an average of 96.0 points for a grand total of 192.4 points per contest. In the 12 games Miami has taken the court without Bosh, the club is averaging 92.7 points per game while permitting an average of 96.8 points per game for a grand point scoring total of 189.5 points per contest.

Defensively, this team is giving up just .8 points per game more without Bosh in the lineup, but offensively the Heat are scoring 3.7 fewer points per outing. That indicates a Bosh-less lineup would be more inclined to go Under the total while at the same time struggling to cover the number as a favorite.
