Maybe not every team but without knowing the stats I would think the majority of teams had two use their backup at some point last season because of injuries. Pats won what 11 games without theirs? Blame Jerry not the injuries......

I had a feeling you would pull the patriots card out. Consider me unimpressed with winning 11 games and MISSING the playoffs. I would not consider that bouncing back from losing their starting QB. I could understand if one would, i guess, but I would not.

Washington is a QB away from being a contender. Picking up Haynseworth was huge, and the kid from Texas is a beast.

The D will be stout, possibly the best in the division. Campbell needs to step up, but more importantly so do Randle El, Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly and even Fred Davis. The Skins spent half their draft last year trying to address more weapons for Campbell and got basically no contributions from any of those 3 last season. Now is their time and if they come through, anything is possible for this team.

There's no doubt they missed and will miss Burress. They won't miss Ward. His success was a result of their system and offensive line. Bradshaw and Danny Ware will be capable backups to Jacobs.

I disagree about the balanced Cowboys. How many starters did they lose on defense? They had no draft picks in the first 2 rounds. Romo disappears in December. His only target is Whitten. Then there's Wade Phillips.

Because they were all Rookies last year (Jones, Bennett, Scandrick and Jenkins) I am expecting them to get better. Of course sophomore slumps do occur but according to everything I am hearing they are all looking pretty sharp.
Dude I hear the same thing about Hakeem Nicks and Sinorice Moss and Mario Manningham and Hixon. You're reading article from the Cowboy beat writers. What do you expect to read? Each and every team and each and every year teams have optimism about their players.

Exactly! I figured I didn't have to go into detail. I simply had to mention his name.

The difference between the players I listed and the players you listed is the cowboys players actually have played in the NFL and have produced.

Felix Jones - 30 Carries for 266 yards and 3 TDs and another kickoff return TD. That is almost 9 yards a pop

Martellus Bennett - 20 receptions for 283 yards and 4 Tds.

Felix Jones also went down after 6 games. I understand that it may sound like hype but these guys came in last year and played great.

How many starters on defense did dallas lose? hahah, you are joking right? Anthony Henry, Roy Williams, Zach Thomas, and Chris Canty...None of which were any good outside of Chris Canty. In the 3-4 scheme he was a solid player but I personally think he is a better fit in NY than in Dallas and I also feel his replacement Olshansky is a better fit in Dallas than Canty was. We have replaced all of those other scrubs with better players as well..The only REAL signicant loss was Owens. Tony Romo OWNS the New York Giants buddy, say what you want about the guy but he has beaten you guys 4 out of the last 5 times and the last meeting was a total ass kicking.
