Who Has the Best 1-2 Punch in Baseball?

Savage, I love Beckett too but don't let your heart get in the way on this one. It isn't even close.

Lincecum is 25 years old, he makes $650,000 this year, he has a (36-13) career record for poor Giants teams, He has a career Era of 2.91 and he has 598 K's in only 522 career innings pitched.

Beckett is 4 years older (29) and he makes over 11 Million this year. It isn't even a debate here. You have to take Lincecum. Beckett's numbers are great but they are still not as good as Lincecum's.

And Lincecum has never pitched in the AL in a heated pennant race and in Boston/Fenway Park against very tough Al lineups(a lot tougher than what most of the NL teams offer).
And again. I am talking about this season and with no salary considerations(yeah I know, but don't forget if Lincecum and Cain did well over here, they would also want big salaries-you were the one who didn't mention Cain this time).
ps I just posted the question on the Red Sox Forum and will report back the results-my gut feeling is that it will be roughly split-if it is one sided especially in favor of the trade, I will admit that perhaps I am being a bit short sighted.

So if money was not an issue and you were the GM of the Sox,, you would trade Beckett for Lincecum or for Lincecum and Cain before the trading deadling, is that correct?
