How the Yankees, St. Louis, or Tampa have any votes is beyond me
You could say the same about Boston and Chicago too. Harden has been hurt and inconsistent all year long. And who in the hell is John Lester? Are you kidding me? 9 and 7 with a 3.79 ERA? PLEASE!

He won a clinching WS game on the road. How many others on the list can say that. That's who Jon Lester is!
He was also (16-6) last year with a 3.21 Era and he is (36-15) in his career with a Era of 3.80
He is tied for 2nd in the AL in K's. He has had some tough losses this year early on but he is (8-2) in his last 10 decisions. He has pitched a no hitter, he is only 25 and guess what, he makes a WHOPPING 1 Million Dollars this year. Good Luck finding a better #2 guy at a better price.

I could see Boston, but Chicago didn't have any votes when I made that comment and I never thought they would
I may be in the minority here, but I would bet just about anything that neither Theo Epstein nor Brian Cashman would trade their duos for those of San Francisco even up assuming the salaries were the same.
Lincecum and Cain are very good pitchers but they pitch in the NL and especially in the crappy NL West.
I think they would have to prove they could compete in the much tougher AL East for an entire season before Cashman and especially Theo Epstein would make an even up trade.
If I were the GM, I wouldn't trade Beckett alone even up for the san Francisco duo at this point;he has proven himself time and time again and in the post season-that is enough for me.
He was hurt last year near the end of the season.
Based on his accomplishments both this year and in the past against tough opposition, he is in my book at the very least one of the top three starting pitchers in baseball and not tradeable for anyone straight up except someone perhaps like Albert Pujols-he is the backbone of the Red Sox starting staff-without him they are nothing.

And neither are you.
More importantly, that is why Theo has done such a great job with the Sox-he realizes for the most part who can get it done in Boston and who cannot(two World Series since 2004 after 86 years of failure will attest to that).
