Should Pete Rose Be Allowed on the HOF Ballot?

I know he is banned but why not put him on the ballot and let the voters decide? MLB doesn't even own or run the HOF anyway. If he gets in, put a plaque near his name saying what he did. Who cares? He should be in (IMO)!!!!!!!!

The whole HOF is a joke when Ricky Henderson is not voted in 100%. Best lead off hitter of all time.

Baseball is a great game that adults, Selig, steroids and millionaires have ruined.

That said, Pete Rose should be in if the others like Bonds and Clemens get in. (If they do?)

The problem with putting him in is that will set a precedent and than shoeless Joe Jackson will have to be put on.The thing is that gambling on baseball if you are involved with baseball than you are thrown out of baseball it is a known fact and he did it.

You can do cocaine,pot,steal,beat up your wife,piss in the streets of NYC,performance inhancing drugs,be a known racist,and even kill someone and your not banned from baseball.

He broke the one rule you can not break and he deserves whatever he gets.

The hall of fame is all public opinion anyway.He gets talked about more because he is not.Everyone knows he deserves to get in because of the record but other than playing hard and getting the hit record over 50 years I don't think he was a great player,he was a leader and played hard on winning teams,he was good.So unless you were one of the elite players top 20 of all time they dont talk about you so with him being out they will talk about him forever just like Shoeless Joe.

He should be in the Hall of Fame but thats it. He was an awsome player HOF material but he fucked with the integrity so he should be in the Hall but not allowed anywhere else.
