Wolrd Series' are won by pitching. Edge Rays.

If the Phillies get red hot though pitching wont matter. I dont think there's enough edge to bet the Rays on this line. I choose...No bet on the series. I may play a game or 2

I picked Tampa to win the WS in six games and made a big bet on them(on my small scale) because I think they are the better team and play in the best divsion in baseball and in the better league(don't want to go into this interleague play stuff again).
However, I do feel that the Phillies are a zillion times better than that flukey and mediocre team which somehow got lucky and won the WS two years ago and defeated the Tigers.
No one will ever convince me that all things considered they were the best team in baseball that year.
When you consider this and the fact that like the Tigers of 2006, the Rays have gone from rags to riches in a short period of time, anything is possible here.
Also, without naming any names, there are several cappers who have been blazing hot during the last few months who are picking the Phillies in this series.

I like Tampa, but not at -145 or -150. I think this series is a tossup, Rays maybe -120.

I may just play game by game.

If I were to play Tampa in the series, I would hedge back with a bet in game 1 with the Phils and Hamels. If the Phils win, great, you pickup some and the Rays have the arms and bats to come back in your series bet. If you lose your game 1 bet with Hamels, there is a great chance the Phils dont come back from it and you win the series bet.

Game 1 is huge for the Phils and they know it.

Bingo...I am still debiting what to do as my book has -155 which is ridiculously high...maybe I will take that and take the Phils in game 1 for a portion of my initial series wager or pass on the series until game 2 and hope the Phils win game 1 (Hamels in their only SP that scares me) and get a way better line with the Rays down 0-1....

                    That is a good idea.
GL Chad if you go that route, you will get Hamels at the best price you will ever get him here in game 1.

I have already made up my mind that I will take Hamels game 1 regardless of if and how I play the series.
