Something else to consider-even though Phils vastly improved over the season, the fact remains that they were a less than stellar 3-15 against AL teams in Interleague play this season.
I have liked TB all season and have always wanted them to win it all if the Sox could not.
My money will be on them in the WS.

Originally posted by PhilJr View PostDoesn't the same Celtics reasoning apply to a team with an inferior interleague play record??? They may have been horrendous all season, but the playoffs are similiar to a new season.
In addition, the Celtics hammered the Lakers twice in the two games they played them during the regular season.
The circumstances are a bit different with the Phillies.

Originally posted by PhilJr View PostOK, you're wrong. Re-read the question. You were comparing Boston this year vs last year, not Boston vs the west
I thought you were implying that Celtics like most of the Eastern teams had a poor record against the Western teams in the season just completed and that since Celts defeated the Lakers in the finals, that regular season has no bearing on the final.
My point is that Celts did quite well against the West last season during regular season whereas the Phils did not fare well against the AL. like most of the NL teams meaning that your comparison was invalid.
Please tell me what I am not getting here or how I misunderstood you.Last edited by savage1; 10-15-2008, 02:59 PM.
