what does it mean when public is heaving on a side but the line doesnt move ?

The LSU / Ohio St. game opened my eyes to how vegas makes $ moving lines down in favor of the public side that ends up getting blown out.

No one really knows, but we all think we know...haha.

IMO....If one side is getting bet heavily (NYG), the line should move the other way. Like last week, Washington was getting bet throughout the week and the # dipped from 4 to 3 by Saturday.

So, when a team is getting most of the consensus action from the public (*********/covers%), yet the line is NOT moving the other way, it appears that Vegas doesnt want to take the line down.

IMO, in this case, if they take it off 7.5 down to 7, every casual bettor in the world could hop on Dallas laying just 7. With the number where it is, it keeps the action equal.
