  • MLB Poll: The DH Position

I for one hate seeing a pitcher "Try" to bat. I would like to see the N.L. go to the DH and have both league's the same.

My question to you is How do you feel about the DH? I know N.L. guys hate it and A.L. guys usually like it but i am curious to see the results!

    Opinions are welcomed!

I say...lets make this a ten man team. Lets add the Dh to the National League! 9 hitters and 1 pitcher..What do you think that would do to over/unders???? Perhaps add a half run to the total??

I'm "old school" and don't like change. Leave it as it is. Plus, I'd take Zambrano at the plate over several 8 hole hitters

I like the strategy of having the pitcher bat...double switches...plus, I'd take just about any pitcher before Julio Lugo these days!

I do understand that Kb but the stategy of the Al is sweet---IMO---they put a lot of decent to good hitters at the end of the line up which feeds the top of the order...I guess I like to see a well balanced team instead of seeing a 7,8 hitter and pitcher through an inning.. To each his own and as always respect your opinion!!

Yes but is it strategy or a battle of "Ineptness"?

if this was 20yrs ago i'd go with NO DH. but todays game is totally different. the pitchers suck @ hitting with the exception of a select few. Make the DH a rule for both leagues.

Fair...but I call it strategy as you need to be able to sacrifice, double switch, bullpens need to be better, know when to walk or pitch around someone...I enjoy the mental part of the game.

I hate it. I can't stand seeing a rally going and the 8th hitter is coming up with one or two outs and they simply walk him to get to the pitcher ... even if it loads the bases. You know you are fucked and usually are. It just loses the excitement for me when that is done just about every time through the order.

There is just as much strategy and a HELL of alot more excitement watching pitchers have to play a chess game facing Ortiz or Sheffield in any situation to me!
