MLB public betting, line movement September 21
      Patrick Everson

Yoan Moncada and the White Sox aim to firm up their position atop the AL Central in a Monday game against the Indians. Caesars sportsbooks made Chicago a modest -110 road favorite.

MLB betting odds are on the board for an abbreviated Monday schedule of 11 games. Among the noteworthy matchups, the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians do battle in an AL Central clash.

Caesars sportsbooks provided insights on MLB opening lines and early line movement, sharp money and public betting for Monday’s games.

      MLB line movement

The White Sox are actually in a little rut, if going 2-3 in the last five games can be considered a rut. Thanks to a 10-1 run right before that, though, Chicago is still atop the AL Central, two games clear of the Minnesota Twins and five games ahead of today’s opponent, the Indians. Caesars books opened the visiting ChiSox -110, with the Tribe even money for a 6:10 p.m. ET first pitch.

The Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves begin a pivotal four-game NL East series with a 7:10 p.m. ET contest Monday. The Braves lead the resilient Marlins by three games, and Caesars has Atlanta a -165 home chalk, with Miami +153.

The red-hot New York Yankees hit the road for a four-game set with the Toronto Blue Jays, starting with a 6:37 p.m. ET contest Monday. New York won 10 in a row before finally taking a loss Sunday, 10-2 at Boston. With starters not yet set for Monday’s Yanks-Jays tilt, the line wasn’t posted for this game Sunday night.

      MLB public betting

White Sox-Indians was getting two-way traction in the Consensus, with a lean toward the visitor, as Chicago was taking 55 percent of picks through Sunday night. On the flip side, Marlins-Braves was not two-way, with Atlanta attracting 78 percent of early Consensus picks.
