          It is so ironic that Clay Buchholz, the much aligned pitcher of Boston's pitching staff, is pitching the most important game of the season. I would not be surprised that he pitchers an excellent game today. He has been almost unbeatable since the Boston's very weak manager returned him to "good graces." If Boston had a better manager this series would have started in Boston and the Sox probably would would not be down 0-2!

          I may return for a pick for the LAD/Washington game once the odds are up for this game.

                    Scherzer led the league in strikeouts but in his last four starts he has allowed several runs including five in his only appearance in this series. He hasn't been bad but he hasn’t been dominating on the scoreboard. His ERA was right at three for the season (2.96) and he has given up to many homeruns surrendering 31 this regular season not including the two from Game One. Also, I do not expect a Bumgarner-like nine innings of dominance. Rumor has it that Bumgarner has a minor injury. As the Sport Geek stated "I’ll bet on both team’s bats and fade both team’s stat-rich starters."

                        Lester has an ERA of 1.74 at home and has lost just two games since the month of August. Lester has also allowed just one run in his last 21.2 innings of work at home while striking out 17 batters. I'm not sure it matters who is pitching for the Dodgers, as the Cubs offense is red hot, rested and they have a guy on the mound who has owned Wrigley all year. He has been on another planet as of late. (Sports Chat)
