Could this be a preview of the World Series? Ya never know. Neither team has anything to play for here so I look for them to be very loose for this game, which should open up the hitting.
Yordana Ventura has struggled on the road this year with a 5.04 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. He does have a 5-3 record on the year and that indicates high scoring games, which is true as his road starts have averaged 10.08 rpg.
Kyle Hendricks has a 5.74 ERA in his last 3 starts, so he comes in struggling some. He has a solid 3.63 ERA at home, but the Cubs have allowed 5.21 rpg in his home starts and those starts have averaged 9.86 rpg. This is not a play on Cincy, but a play against Washington, who just have too many internal problems right now and a coach who won't make a stand.
