  • Thoughts on baseball..

I am 56 years old and have been following baseball since '66, but I don't bet on baseball nearly as much as I do football and basketball. I am a walking encyclopaedia on the sport, but I realize betting on it is an every day commitment, and that devotion is what made bookmakers a foundation and flourish in the '20s and '30s (working every day on something will make you an expert )
For those who don't take the time to follow the sport and all 30 teams day in and day out, there can be a way to "pick your spots" . But eventually, there is the ying - yang theory (something I learned when working at Jim Feist's company years ago). Perpetuation always takes it's course, like nature, and if there isnt a large quantity of samples, it always falls back to the "norm" , or the center of the bell curve. And baseball and its 162 daily episodes is exactly as such.
Besides my theories of early season pitching domination, mid season streaks when bullpens are hot, and underdog progressions, and of course getting VALUE when its presented to you on a silver platter (not often , mind you, just have to be observant) what are some of the strategies experienced baseball bettors on this forum can share if those reading and in the know to help the community here!

Baseball is the hardest sport out there to cap for me. Damn near impossible.

Take a look at a system with the best home team records for last year and narrow it down. Then you play them when there at home on a 5 game stretch or more. The theory is that they won't get swept at home. You should start small on this as you have to keep upping your wager each time they loose the home game to come out ahead. Someone posted it on here years ago and I tracked it with it winning, but kind of risky.
