Glad I can post again after my 1 day ban !!! LOL
I believe in major "mojo" in baseball !!! The best team does not always win when the other team gets hot - just look - KC and San Fran are both wildcard teams and the 2 teams with the best record in the American and National Leagues are home watching this game on TV.
Both teams have played great and are the type of teams that are just fun to be around and fun to watch - you have a few high $$$ players but most of these guys on both teams are guys that LOVE the game, not the $$$$.
The two managers - Yost and Bochy. Bochy, to me, is the best manager in the game. Yost, MANY people think he is a "dumb" manager. To me, he has to be doing something right to have KC where they are and his players love him. Game time decisions, I know you would rather Bochy. But, will this game boil down to one decision to win the game. Most of the times, it doesn't.
All the hype right now is on KC - all the "services" all over KC. I hate going with the services when they all seem to be on the same side.
And will Baumgarner pitch - if the Giants get behind - you can bet he will. BUT to me, that might be too late.
To me it boils down to this :
Hudson is 0-5, 6.80 ERA in his last eight outings, 1-4, 3.53 in 12 postseason starts, 0-1, 4.76 in one start against the Royals this season.
Guthrie is 4-0, 1.78 ERA in his last five starts, 1-0, 2.70 in two playoff starts, 1-0, 3.60 in his one start against the Giants this season.
I am taking KC tonight in what, to me, has been a great series !!!
