Deep closer had an excuse in last as he was bumped at the start. Trainer Romans dumps his go-to rider to switch to a jockey who has won on the horse. NOTE: This horse is part of a two-horse entry. Make sure the straight #1 is running or it is a no play.
Churchill Downs Race 8 Gr. III Regret Stakes Play #1 Lady of Venice
This is a turf race for three-year old fillies and this horse is a stick-out, having won two of three in France last year and sailing to an easyu win in her only start om America. rested since April. Likely favorite but also likely winner.
Arlington Park Race 5 Play #5 Touch Em All
This is a 1X allowance on the grass. Our horse has the track's leading trainer and rider and meets a very soft field after facing tougher over the winter at Gulfstream. Bullet work for this.

This horse spent last year facing much tougher competition at Santan Anita but couldn't clear the 1X allowance level. In his first Illinois race three weeks ago he was stuck in the lousy 10-post but made a big middle move and took the lead before tiring. Much better post here and a turnback in distance.
