Watch out for Oh So Awesome. If the race oversubscribes (more than 14 entries) he won't get in. If he is in, he could win at 35-1 or so. First tile lasix likely for trainer Jimmy Jerkens, who is deadly with that move. Jerkens is the son of Hall of Fame Trainer Allen Jerkens, dubbed the "giant killer" for pulling many upsets like this over the years. The horse has run long several times including 1 1/4 miles as a two year old! The field will suck, and while this horse has poor speed figures, may be the only one with stamina at the end.

If your book offers futures on the Belmont, play at 45-1 or higher only. You're likely to get almost that much on race day, presuming the horse actually gets into the race.

I don't use Pinnacle, but many books that list horse futures do NOT refund if the horse doesn't run. This is one of the reasons the odds are often higher.
