Let's see if I get this:
Let's say a payoff reads $11.90 $7.80 $4.20 for a winning horse. Let's say I wagered $5 for the horse to W. So, I would take $11.90 - $2.00 = $9.90/2 = 5 to 1 odds.
So, since I wagered $5 and my odds are 5-1, I win $25.
Right?
