Kentucky Derby - What I ended up with

So I trudged off to OTB last night to avoid the crowds today, and get a little piece and quiet looking over my numbers for the Derby. As I said, I didn't want to lay too much on this race as I couldn't figure out all the things that could go on. I guess I am better off on Wednesday Belmont cards. Well here is what I ended up with.

$2 Exacta BOX ($192)

5/7/10/11 with 1 thru 12, 16

I really feel that out of the 5/7/10/11 one of those horses has the best shot of coming in 1st or 2nd. Hopefully 2nd with the high odds horses I boxed it with on top. Strictly a $ value bet, if it hits should at least get my money back worse case, best case.....

$1 Tri ($140)

5/7/10/11 with 5/7/10/11/17/18 with 1/5/7/8/10/11/16/17/18

Once again, going for the value, throwing in some of the chalk for 2nd and 3rd.

4/6 with 1 thru 13/16/19

Why you say? What could this one be? Well there was a man next to me looking around to see who was looking at him and he was putting in $100 Ex Box on 1/13 and hitting the repeat button, did it at least 10 times before he saw me looking, hit finish walked away and went to another machine. Hey, you never know. :o)

$500 spent, maybe I get it back, if not at least it will be exciting GL to all

Just got back from golf and Fairmount race track. Played 3 races there and place was a zoo. GL and thx for your picks and insights.

I cannot not believe the favorite of this race will go off at 6-1 or so.

This is going to pay pretty big regardless of the order. Wish I knew Brother Derek would get no respect, would have keyed him up top in some heavy plays, but I will not put another dime into this race.

I was thinking the same thing, I wish I had time to run to the OTB and play some more triples with Brother Derek on top. Only got him in a large exacta box.
