Right now I would like Bob and John to win.

I got him at 31-1 in Pool A and 19-1 in Pool B.

Although I will be looking for some nice long shots this year, I believe it will set up the same as last year.

I hope Jazir gets in because he has a great close.

I only bought in Pool A Janurary 29th. I have:

AP Warrior 31-1
Bob and John 31-1
Henny Hughes 27-1
Flashy Bull 45-1
Barbaro 19-1

It is nice to have these horses at these odds, because as it looks now Bob and John may go off as a short money favorite. We will probably see 12 - 14 horses in the Derby, and with that kind of convoy I may stay away from some of the horses I have in the futures (or single key them in big exotics) and look for some strong closer types (liked Jazir that day in my post to Rip) to over take the group.

I really liked Keyed Entry. But if he couldn't win on that day, on that track, with those conditions, etc.. not sure he can handle the Derby. AP Warrior I also felt was starting to mature but he has regressed a little where as I thought he would be peaking in time for the derby. Also liked Achilles of Troy (being a NY player) but injury aside he was not going to run with these. Bob and John looks like the monster right now, but many of these have fallen in the Derby.

I got Keyed entrey and Henny huges also, but HH is out.

Jazir looked really good. I had him that day also, but really b/c my girlfriend liked him.

I think it's gonna be another large field. I was thinking the same thing though, staying away from the horses I played and playing others. I was planning on playing one big Trifecta Ticket. If t is a 12-14 horse field I might play a super as well.

I plan on it being the only race I bet that day. But I say that every year b/c the undercard is usually nice.
