Brother Derek D. Hendricks A. Solis 20-1
Tiznow is the only California-bred to win a Breeders’ Cup race, capturing the 2000 and 2001 Classic editions.
Dawn of War D. Romans J. Castellano 20-1
Ramsey’s only BC entry. Has never finished worse than second in six starts
He'll be the only Juvenile starter in the gate with three two-turn races under his belt
Dr. Pleasure J. Ward Jr E. Prado 15-1
Runner-up in Belmont Park's listed Cowdin Stakes earlier this month to He's Got Grit while making his stakes debut
First Samurai F. Brothers J. Bailey 8-5
Undefeated colt, Complete Package. Has won over the track at Belmont Park, and shown an ability to win on fast or wet racetracks.
Henney Hughes K. McLaughlin G. Stevens 5-1
Only 2 loses were 2nd to First Samurai, he can’t beat him. He lost ground in the final furlong of the Hopeful and Champagne and will be asked for another 1-1/16th of a mile?!?!?!
Ivan Denisovich (IRE) A. Obrien K. Fallon 15-1
Making 1st US start. Group 1 seasoned, can compete. Drop off after him.
Jealous Profit D. Oneill C. Nakatani 30-1
Still a Maiden, (but so was Giacamo).
Leo (GB) J. Gosdoen 20-1
Making 1st US start. Group 2 win at Newmarket was best yet.
Private Vow S. Asmussen TBD 8-1
J. Baily opted off. He’s bred to run much farther than he has so far
Set Alight C. Head-Maarek 30-1
US horse making 1st US start. Group 3 starter bred for dirt on both sides.
Sorcerer’s Stone P. Byrne M. Guidry 10-1
A 42-day layoff is pretty much uncharted territory. Main threat though.
Stevie Wonderboy D. Oneil G. Gomez 8-1
He was, without a doubt, the best two-year-old at Del Mar this summer.
Lack of final prep race.
Stream Cat P. Biancone G. Stevens 30-1
Hot trainer at Belmont. Beaten favorite in Keeneland Futurity. Can win on turf and polytrack, this race is neither.
Superfly N. Zito TBD 30-1
Distant third to First Samurai and Henny Hughes while making his graded stakes debut Oct. 8 in the Grade 1 Champagne.
Sharp Attack ** DW Lukus 30-1
Successful at Turfway and no place eles.
Bear Character** D. Greenwood 50-1
Diabolical** S. Klesaris 50-1
Speedball can’t win against weaker in sprints.
ANALSIS:
The Juvenile used to be great for favorites. Last 6 runnings not 1 fav has hit the board. First Samurai will be heavily favored.
LIVE LONGSHOTS:
J. Baily opted off Private Vow and said it was a hard decision. Dawn of War was impressive at Keenland last start and has the best buyer fig to compete. Also like the foreigner Ivan Denisovich, traveling for a reason
.
MONEY MATTERS:
I love foreign horses in there 2nd US starts, but I really love foreign horses in 1st start stakes races. I also Love First Samuari, that is a great horse, but he’s the favorite. Will try to get Private Vow, Ivan Denisovich, Sorcerer’s Stone, Dawn of War, or Stream Cat ahead of First Samurai in an exacta. And try some type of Trifecta key win the 6 horses as well.
*ODDS by Mike Watchmaker (Daily Racing Form)
**Also Eligible (in order of preference)
