I know I'm no Smooth....Ive been capping ponies part time for 20 years and premarriage thought of doing it full time...I handicap each race without knowing the opening odds. My method of wagering is normally WPS on the top pick and I exacta box the top 3. If I feel really good about the top 3 I will trifecta box them also. Ive been known to hit a pick six now and then....and been known to have those bad days to so be cautious.. I normally reduce my amounts on the maiden races

3,7,8...tough race to handicap
Race 2
2,4,7...Crowning Victory puts on the blinkers and has had some good workouts
Race 3
2,5 coin toss between these 2
Race 4
*5,3,6... Skyway is 12/1 and I like his chances if he runs back to his old form...he's dropping in class and could be much the best against an average field
Race 5
11,8,1,12 Coach Ted at 8/1 could payoff nicely here if he runs back to his June 26th race at Hollywood Park...he has a trip over Delmar and is dropping in class...worth a shot at 8/1...a 4 horse box here could payoff nicely

5,4,1...an exact box here looks good as these 3 horses are hard to seperate

Maiden race 8,9,5

3,4 the 2 favorites look strong here
Race 9
3,5,6...The Baffert horse Chief Planner looks tough here at 5/2 even tho he has not won at the distance
Race 10
10,5,4,6...I like the entry here Madison Meadows..2nd race after a layoff. ran 3rd on this track on July 27 and has been in the money each time she has raced at this distance...at 10/1 she is worth a shot...don't be pissed if she runs last ...this is a true hunch bet
