There is a reason Afleet Alex withdrew from this race, it's Flower Alley. A beaten 1/2 length last out to Roman Ruler (The Best Three Year Old in the country) after a lay off.
The only problem here is that he is a 8/5 ML Favorite. Anything close to even money here I feel is an overlay.

Use as a single in pick 3's and 4's or put him on top in exotics....or just enjoy the race.
It's a 6 horse field so you won't get rich here off this race......

Didn't pay well, but still paid....
Became real obvious when I saw Roman Ruler run a 1:12 6F breeze work.
He is a monster and only beat today's hero by 1/2 length.

Also if anyone cares this is an angle I like to play in stakes races.
When there is a small field it's usually because the favorite looks too tough to beat. Afleet Alex was the horse they feared here and when he scratched there was a reason.

Don't believe the hype about his injury. It took 2 x-rays to find the slight hairline fracture. If you look hard enough at most race horses you can find a small crack...

I am guessing Alex will not be back until he is 4. If at all.....
