I don't believe Afleet Alex can get the 1 1/2 mile distance. He lost his punch in the stretch of the Kentucky Derby and I think the same will happen in the Belmont.
I like two horses:
Reverberate at morning line of 6-1
and
my bomber to win:
Indy Point (morning line 20-1)
Indy Point ran a strong allowance win versus older horses on the Preakness undercard, running faster than Pinpoint did in winning the Sir Barton the same day. Yet Pinpoint, trained by Nick Zito is receiving more attention than Indy Point, also a Zito trainee.
Remember also that Zito won this race last year with Birdstone. I will play both Reverberate and Indy Point and use them under Afleet Alex in saver exactas.
