I will be heading to the Fair Grounds on Turkey Day and looking for cappers help. I like Spiritual (4-1) for good price race 1. But not sold yet still looking. Any picks or thoughts welcomed.

Nothing I see at the Fair Grounds makes a top play in my book, however there is one that I would lean towards.... Race 5 - 2 Carolyn Frances 6-1 as long as this race stays on the grass. I might go WPS with her and then take here in an exacta: 2 over/under 1,4,6,8 (#4 loves this course and can not be dimissed even as a 7-2 favorite).

Opening days at any meet are always tough... I like to look for horses that have done well at the course in the past and winning connections... but it is tough to tell with a group that is coming off of the layoff. Good luck today!

Albarado has a live mount as the chalk in the first #1 Carrsonetclaire, and I like his mount in the 5th to be in the money (#8... put him in the exacta I suggested). However, his ride in the 7th looks sharp, #5 Z Storm 4-1 turning back and dropping out of stakes competition.... could be Robby's best price of the day.
His mount in the 9th looks tough #6 Aloha Bold 7-2, but the chalk looks tough there #5 Beau's Town 5-2; I do see #3 Wildcat Shoes 8-1 being a factor there... and #7 Mountain General will be tough... tough race to call so I'll pass there.

also watch for tom amoss he has been the leading trainer there a very smart claiming trainer. good luck to all hoping to bring home uconn second half -3 and indy 1st half -6. would be a start to a happy thanksgiving.Comment
