Ya'll should start handicapping for the big day. Hopefully, we can hit them all day.
So far, I like Midas Eyes, but it is early and there are many more races.
The 13 post position, I feel, will hurt his chances a bit. He will probably have trouble getting into position to run his kind of race without dropping a lung to all the speed inside him, or will run too wide throughout.
This is to me the toughest race on the board.
The only thing I can say at this point is Abbondanza has been training great at Pimlico and has great tactitcal speed coming out of the turn.
Lone Star has a slightly shorter straight then some other tracks. which he may benefit him. I will include him in the exotics (50-1 ML).
I also like Clock Stopper's Last race where he closed well against a seemingly always present speed bias @ Keeeneland to gain on Champali and Gold Storm (also an exotic play)
I am going to wait to see how Lone star is playing out to decide on a horse. Traditionally the BC Sprint is won on the lead or by a presser which may eliminate Clockstopper, Kela and Bwanacharlie from the win. Hopefully the fav speightstown too if he breaks badly again.
Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.
