had them all again yesterday!!!! here's today

    DEL MAR -- Race #4 -- MY OUTLET (#8)
    __________________________________________________ __________________

Today's 4th race is a $32,000 maiden claiming sprint for fillies and mares. The par for this level is a 95. I always favor those that are dropping to the level for the first time. In this race, most of these fillies have already lost at the very bottom maiden claiming level ($25,000). Horses moving UP in the maiden claiming ranks are what I refer to as "rule breakers". Those breaking the rule today include NO TIME TO LOSE (5-2), HOLY REQUEST (6-1), GAMBOL GOLDFISH (3-1) and ROAR OF AFRICA (6-1).

Today's spot play will be dropping to this level for just the second time. MY OUTLET (4-1) raced at this level back on April 17th. That day she had to face monster winning figures of 102-102+ for this same 95 par level. MY OUTLET earned figures of 100-89+ for her first start in nearly eight months. MY OUTLET then had to face the dreaded "bounce" in her next start as her figures regressed to a 94-89+ when bumped up to the $40,000 maiden claiming level. Trainer Howard Zucker has freshened MY OUTLET since her May 9th effort. I believe that MY OUTLET has the early pace to stalk the leaders and should be in a very good position turning for home.

My wagering strategy will call for a straight bet on MY OUTLET along with exacta and quinella combos to first time starter JOSEPHINE'S PEAK (5-1) and second time sarting GAMBOL GOLDFISH. ROAR OF AFRICA might be worth including for the bottom half of the exotic wagers as well. Good luck!

    pred :

You picked a douzy today , as this one with a field of 8 only has two tossers in my opinion .

Safely ( I feel ) the #7 R Lil Rose & #6 Shirely Kelly can be excluded , after that its a very good contested race by all 6 runners and baring no scratches it should be a good one and might pay well as Joe Public is going to spread his cash around on this one with no clear-cut favs.

Pick-3 freak that I am , the 4th poses me to question myself on this one cause in the 2nd I have decided to go with a 546 and the 3rd a 715 looks close and your race of the day throws a rock in the gears . I find it interesting that you excluded the #2 Holy Request in this one , but speedfigures often leaves a horse of this nature off the board . I want to take a chance in this one and go with a costly shot at playing four horses and cover my hindend with a wide-open pack here .

We agree on the contenders for the most part except for #2 and I will toss a pick-3 of :

    Race #2 - 546
    Race #3 - 715
    Race #4 - 2451

It really wouldnt suprise me if Gambol Goldfish #4 goes wire to wire , but being a tight field covering ones butt has to be considered here .

Kudoos again on yesterdays hit , but I tend to shy away from 2.50 to 4.00 winners if possible as with your previous days call , and Good Luck on your choices as always
